Beautiful hotel. Bad parking.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: parking inaccessible
Beautiful room. SPOTLESS. Excellent service. Handicapped parking is NOT GOOD. I was allowed to park on the circle in front of the hotel, because I could not walk from the parking garage (too far), but I still had to pay $20/night to park.

EXCELLENT Experience for 5 days

I booked this online, which is alway a risk, however was GREATLY surprised with these accomodations. We were there for a Susan B Komen 60 mile Walk for breast cancer in Washington. This location was easy access, we utilized the big Westfield Mall 1 mile down the road, the hospital for an emergency was a couple of miles away and the CVS for prescriptions. The staff was great, the food was exceptional and the suite was perfect, clean and well appointed. We plan to go back for opening day of the Washington Nationals baseball and will definitely stay here again. One of the best breakfast buffets we have ever had but it was a little pricey at $17.00.

Very comfortable, small suites.

Pros: Free Internet
Bethesda Marriott was very comfortable and reasonably priced. I think it would be a great place to stay for a business traveler. As a family, we were a little crowded in the suites--a trundle bed barely fits in the room. There was a great market nearby where we could pick up good food and snacks for our excursions and it was close to everything. The shuttle service could be erratic (good with the drop off, but they took over an hour once to pick us up.)

Everything - done right

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
This hotel is designed to meet your every need and sets the right tone for balancing luxury with practicality. It is beautifully decorated, the temperature in the room rapidly moved to the desired level and stayed there for the duration of my visit. The only difference between this place and a higher rated hotel was the absence of nightgown and slippers...would be very welcome for the traveller who travels light. Internet connection costs about $12, parking also.

Exellent hotel, value, clealiness, and staff.

I recently stayed at the Marriott on business. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The price of the room per night was extremely reasonable, and overall a great value.

Great property but a little pricey for a midwestern boy!

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
This is a beautiful property with a great bar (Guinness on tap) and some of the best crabcakes I have ever eaten. It is not inexpensive but it is on par with the Bethesda area on whole.

5 Days of Bad Bad Bad Service

We've stayed at this hotel four times in six years (family at retirement facility in the area) and had not had an unsatisfactory experience before. But this year, was a revelation -- the worst kind. Rooms are spacious, pleasant and clean. BUT: the food in the restaurant was awful, inedibly salty. Drinks in the bar were skimpy on ice, with diluted mixers, and undetectable alcohol. The desk could not once in five days get the requested newspaper delivered to our room, although it was piled at the front desk. Towels and robes were removed daily but not replaced. When I asked for replacements, 20 minutes later an unsorted unfolded damp pile of jumbled towels and robes, torn and without belts, and utterly unuseable was delivered. Room/parking keys expired in the middle of our stay, notwithstanding confirmed reservations, and staff were unpleasant about re-programming as necessary. Directions by front desk staff to local retailers were wrong. Televisions are old-fashioned table-tops, small screens, only ONE premium channel -- not even full basic cable. Movie offerings -- even for pay -- were so limited we might have been in the backwaters of Arizona, rather than the hub of a major metropolitan area. And $13 dollars a day to use our own laptop. Worst of all, sour sullen unwilling staff at every encounter. Trust me, you can do better than this almost anywhere else. We will not be back and we were glad to leave.

Nice, But Too Much For Parking

This is a nice facility, with the suite option being the most convenient for families with kids. The onsite breakfast is also pretty good, though not necessarily cheap, even though the kids 12 and under eating free can be helpful to some. However, parking for $12/ day in such a location is an overkill, espcially when you consider this is not downtown DC and the multi-level parking lot has enough spaces. Parking should either be free or no more than $6.00 and I'd be more inclined to say here again.

Great Location/Service

I've stayed here previously. Each time I had a suite rather than just a room. All the staff is friendly and efficient. Great bar and a good restaurant. The only thing to be aware of is if you park in the garage at the hotel you'll be billed an additional $10/day for parking upon checkout.
