Ok but could be more clean

My husband and I were very excited about our stay that we had booked at the Renaissance. We were staying in Baton Rouge over night and wanted to stay at a nice hotel and the Renaissance looked like the perfect place. We were wrong! Upon arrival, the maid was cleaning the rooms and had the cart in the hallway blocking most of hallway. This made it very difficult to pass with luggage or any bags to get it our room. Along the way to the room, we noticed that there was a great bit of debris on the floor along the hallway. Thinking that this would be cleaned by housekeeping, we thought nothing of it. We entered our room and upon first glance it looked to be okay. The room seemed a bit small but over all it seemed that it would be fine. That was until I walked to the other side of the bed and almost rolled my ankle on a water bottle cap that was on the carpet. This got me to thinking, what else was not cleaned in the room? Soon after settling in, my husband and I decided to go for a bite of dinner and upon returning the housekeeping was gone, however; the debris was still all over hallway floor. When we returned to our room for the night after our outing and decided to get some sleep we also noticed that there were holes in the sheets. To say the least, we will not be staying at this hotel again. I did attach some pictures of the debris in the hallway. Also, they did not have free Wifi.

Close to family, easy check in.

Pros: Very comfortable bed, clean, well appointed. Access to my Netflix account! Polite staff. Pretty holiday decorations.
Cons: Shower looked new w/glass door & new tile but grout could be cleaner. Better (non-sweet) snacks & drink (seltzer?) options in vending machine needed.
We needed a place to stay for one night, hotel was highly recommended by family who live nearby. Three of us stayed at the Renaissance Baton Rouge hotel for about 12 hours one night and it was very nice.

Nice hotel next to plenty to see, do and eat!

Pros: Everything
Excellent hotel from the reservation process on-line to check-in to room condition, to food, to amenities and just natural attractiveness and pleasant staff...this is the BEST hotel in the Baton Rouge area!

Awesome new hotel!!

I have stayed St this hotel twice recently and both times received excellent service from staff as well as very comfortable amenities! I highly recommend this hotel!
