I was blown away with the staff at this property. The online booking suggested we may have contactless check in, but I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to speak with (a very kind and prompt) human being at check in. She arranged an early check in for us and gave us any and all info we would need! Could not recommend more.

We had a 22 hour layover in toronto and chose this location to rest and recover from our jet-lag. We liked the size of the room, beds were comfortable, good pillows, very courteous front desk people, had recycling facilities, kitchen was well-equipped, nice TVs, continental breakfast was as good as I have seen in a hotel, when we posed a question to the hotel through the app, they answered quickly and accurately (this is not always the case with many hotels). Our only issue was with the shuttle service. When we arrived, we had to wait half an hour for the shuttle to pick us up which wasn’t a huge deal. Then we checked in and were told that the shuttle leaves promptly every hour on the hour and it was suggested we book ahead of time which we did. We booked the 10:00 am shuttle for a domestic flight leaving at noon. We went downstairs at 9:45 and were told that the shuttle left early as someone needed to get to the airport. The shuttle at the sister hotel was ready to go at 10:00 and we were told we could not go on that one. It was after 10:15 when the shuttle returned which was a little late for my personal comfort. Feels like we followed the rules and were punished for same. If they would have called us and said there was a situation and could we leave early, we would have come down so others could get to the airport, but this was not done. I felt that the folks not following the schedule should have been told to get a cab/uber or wait until 10:00.

I booked a suite with 2 bedrooms- a king bed in one and 2 queens in the others. It was around $500 but there was room for 8 and there were 7 of us. We arrived just after 3, the room was not ready. At 3:30 I explained to the desk that we had an event and needed to leave soon. It was at this time that I was told that the room we booked only had 2 beds in it. We would have to book another room and our room still was not ready. The desk lady did not believe me even after I showed her printed proof of the room we booked, Mae several excuses, said that it didn’t exist and then that it had been already booked a few days ago to which I showed her that I had booked before that. She did not ask for a manager. My husband was very angry, especially when told at 4 that the room still wasn’t ready/did not exist and we would need to book another room. That would have put us at $750 for one night. My husband pointed out that perhaps the second room should be complimentary as they had made a mistake on their end. She said it was not possible. There was another hotel in the property so I left and booked 2 rooms there for around $300 total and she had us checked in with our room keys within 5 minutes. I went back to the other hotel and told her to cancel the reservation. She said she could not do it on her end, we would have to call Expedia ourselves. What a terrible experience. My health is not good - this trip was a gift. You ruined it.
