Need better communication

When we arrived at the property we had no idea what the unit number was even though it was in the address, because the info was not clear. The apartment was not clean when we checked in at 1600. The owner did rectify that very quickly.

Great place

It had beautiful view. It was quite and relaxing. The place it's self was very nice and clean. Only down side is couldn't park to where i could see my truck. However, the shotel people where super friendly. I would stay here again in a heart bet.

Wonderful stay!

This was the nicest property I have ever stayed in at Sugartop Resort. The upgrades are tastefully done and the view is amazing. Our family had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of linens and towels and a nice air bed to boot! Hope we have the opportunity to stay here again someday.☺️

Such a comfy place to stay!!

This was a great place to stay in! All the appliances worked really well, there were plenty of sheets, towels, and blankets. The view from the balcony was extremely pretty of the mountain and we were able to walk straight to the slopes! We really enjoyed our stay!!

SugarTop on New Year's weekend

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sugar Top! The owners were very responsive when we had questions and the check in/check out instructions were detailed and helpful. It was a busy holiday weekend at the resort, so we had a bit of a wait time getting checked in, but that had nothing to do with this unit itself or the owners, just something to keep in mind if visiting around the holidays. The parking situation is a little unique in that for the most part, you will be parked in a remote lot and shuttled back and forth from the resort as needed, but we got used to the system pretty quickly and rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a shuttle, so it was not an issue. Super convenient to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, area restaurants, grocery stores, and other activities (we went axe throwing at Hero’s Axe House on one rainy day) in the Sugar Mountain/Banner Elk area. Not a far drive to Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and other area attractions as well. The condo was clean with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and had all the linens and towels we needed for our stay. One big pro (for our group, since we’ve stayed in mountain rentals in the past where this was not the case) was that the drive up the mountain was fairly easy and did not require a vehicle with 4 wheel drive under the mostly clear weather conditions we experienced. Great view of the slopes from the balcony! Not a complaint, but just wanted to mention that the unit was a kind of a small space for 5 adults, but probably would have been perfect for a group of 4 or less. Shouldn't be an issue if you're going to be out and about for most of your stay.

Was not pleasure my stayed. I will share the list of the problems for you be aware of this property. The refrigerator don’t get cold, maybe they leave it off to save energy, so takes soooo long to get cold. Or it’s having a problem. The font knob having probelm, it’s so hard to the key get in, and turn , I almost broken the key. Don’t have laundry inside the apartment the mattress is very soft, if you have a problem with your back, this apartment is not for you, I check out the night before because I couldn't sleep for two days. The view is nice, but you have to park lot D, and get the resort car, to have access in your car, you can’t park resort parking lot, when have event or its full. also, the shower head is terrible, don't have water pressure …. So the question is if I come back here? Definitely not.

Stayed for an App State Tour

While a little bit of a ride back into Boone, the amazing scenery and beauty of Sugartop Mountain made up for that small inconvenience. The condo was clean and very livable. We happened to stay on one of the coldest weekends in November so we couldn't use the balcony, but my wife, son and daughter all fit without any problems. The one thing I didn't like, but it didn't affect my review, is that the property is listed as three bedrooms, but in actuality, it is only two. The third bed is a pullout sofa in the living room, but I don't consider that a bedroom. For me a bedroom is an enclosed space with a door, not an open space to the dining room and kitchen. But either way, we managed that without a problem. We would definitely consider staying there again if we took another trip to the Boone location.
