It is a great location and enjoyed the deers and all other wild life. It really was totally worth it.

With the two master bedrooms and the bunk bed room, it worked great for us having two families with kids staying at the same time.

This is our 3rd straight year we have vacationed on BHI and this has been the best house we have rented thus far. The house, conveniently located to many beach areas and shopping, is thoughtfully furnished throughout. Charlene and James, from the property manager office, were very responsive. We will likely rent this house again next summer!

We hope to be back next year. Note to owner - the only thing we found missing was grill tools. Brush, tongs, etc. Other than that everything was great!

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, we caught the week when Debby planted herself over North Carolina, but Totally Worth It! served as an excellent port in a storm. A brand new space, beautifully appointed, spotless and located just down the road from the market, shops, Jailhouse Provisions and Midway Coffee. Weather was a stinker, but we made the best of it. We had two families of five (six kids) and didn't feel cramped. It's a lovely home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the island and this is our 6th trip. Amenities at the house were perfect, very clean and nicely updated. Only issue we had was there was only 1 working beach chair as the other 2 were broken. I would suggest the railings on the bunks be raised up. They are as high as the mattress and we feared our young kids could roll off. Other than that for our size it was the perfect house and likely will book it again next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great home, worked very well for our group. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Location was great and everything was as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!My only recommendation would be some coffee tables! We missed having a coffee table in the living room and screened in porch. Both were great places to hang at the end of the day but nowhere to put a wine glass, drink or play a game (given the dining tables being used for eating). Also, some info on the WWP app not up to date- the wifi info for example.

Beautiful home

The home is beautiful and a perfect location. There were some discrepancies in written communication (ie. the contract said a starter set of items-paper towels etc. would not be provided, so we brought our own to find that they actually are provided. Also, the check out email asked us to strip the beds, but the written document left in the house did not mention the beds but only the trash). We stripped the beds, but just a few little things. Otherwise, the house is amazing, the golf carts were fantastic and we had a wonderful stay. Would choose it again!

It Was, In Fact, Totally Worth It!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third trip to Bald Head and our favorite stay yet! The house was clean with lots of modern luxuries, while also very cozy and comfortable for a relaxing week. We enjoyed making meals together in the large kitchen space along with playing many rounds of ping pong in the garage. We slept great in the comfortable beds, and we especially appreciated the "drop-off" area at the entrance for beach gear. Though not beach front, the location was actually great because it's central and easy to get to everything on the island. We were just a hop-skip-jump from morning coffee at Midway, picking up last minute grocery items from the Maritime Market, or grabbing a bite to eat and a "Lights Out Margarita" at Jailhouse Provisions. We wound up using the bikes just as much as the carts to get to our favorite beach spots, and made many treasured memories along the way.

Very Disappointed

Our first morning, our coffee pot did not work but we called and a new one was delivered promptly. We never had any dish towels but we never called about it - we just used paper towels. The family room was a bit uncomfortable to hang out in as there was no coffee table or end tables; therefore there were very few places to set drinks down. This is the second year that we have rented from Wendy Wilmot and both times the house was not as clean as we would expect. We had to wash every pot and pan before we could use them. We had six adults this year and we did not have enough clean placemats. Several filthy placemats were stuffed in the pantry cabinet. I had to hand wash the two dirty placemats myself (I got out all the stains) so that we'd have enough for our meals. There were three carts with the property but one never worked and we could not figure out how to charge it. This really didn't affect us; two were plenty for us. Overall, the house was adequate, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably well stocked.

A beautiful house but...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our only complaint about the house was the incredible amount of dog hair throughout the property. Despite the cleaners coming back during our stay to vacuum, we still found dog hair everywhere. Our toddler constantly had it on him, in his mouth and on his toys. After a few minutes of walking around the house my socks would be coated in hair. The house should be deep cleaned before guests arrived if a dog has lived there for a considerable period. This was clearly the case with our stay as tufts of hair were still found after two rounds of vacuuming. This is coming from a previous owner of a heavily shedding dog.Aside from the dog hair issue, we very much enjoyed our stay and thought the house was amazingly nice with a very well appointed kitchen. Seasonal decorations were a nice touch. The outside porch/deck area and fireplace was a very relaxing spot for the adults and kids. The layout of the house works well for two families. And the beds were very comfortable!
