Rooms much smaller than they look online. Pool towels should have been replaced ages ago. Pool staff are not people friendly and disappear frequently. Avoid Brew Pub. Servers are disorganized and have too many tables to cover. On the plus side, Avalon Prime was wonderful in every way: food, service and ambiance. Very expensive, but hey, it’s the shore! The casual restaurant has fabulous pizza!!!

Overall the resort is great. Expensive, but really nice. The one issue I have is that they have three restaurants and a tiki bar where the menu is identical. It would be nice to have some additional variety in dining. They have the Avalon Prime steakhouse which was excellent, but they should have some additional variety at the lower price points.

We like the cleanliness of the room and the view we had. The dining was good and the location to the beach was amazing. The kids in the pool were unruly, the servers were not trained well, and the original room we were given had a balcony that was not useable. The balcony overlooked the 1st floor roof that had standing dirty water with mosquitos. We were also next door to the laundry room and the workers kept slamming the door. We complained and luckily enough we were given a different room. It was inconvenient and a hassle to move all our things. Also the valet was no where to be found. We parked our own car. The first night there we had reservations in stone harbor and had to Uber there and back because our car was blocked in at the hotel. It seemed like they just did not run smoothly at this up class high priced hotel. On Tuesday the restaurants were not open in the morning so the lobby offered free coffee which was great. But for the price they should have free coffee everyday. We paid 13.00 a day for 2 coffees.
