Great stay, comfotable bed and the room was spacious and very clean. All the staff that we dealt with were curious and friendly. The food was good, we ate in the bar, had a pizza and it was delicious. The buffet breakfast had a great variety to choose from, also you can order your eggs the way you like them. We booked the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport as it was listed with "Shuttle Available", but the shuttle is just the yellow hotel bus from the airport, which costs NZ$8 per person each way, plus NZ$0.50 tax, which added an additional $34 to our stay. The room was reasonably clean and modern, and breakfast was fine, but the hotel itself is quite dated, and the carpet in the corridors and common areas is stained and looks grubby. Also, the hotel is on two levels, but there is no elevator, which means if you have luggage you have to lug it up and down the stairs. Would not stay again.

Room next to stairs is very loud with echo from stairs. Insulation? Staff was good, lovely bed and pillows. Mrals in buffet, breakfast and dinner, were not impressive. Ive had better at Fairfiels Inn and other low end hotels.
