If you are looking for gorgeous views, luxurious linens, and all the comforts of home, Cottage at Poplar Cove is the place to stay. Add to that, it is dog friendly!Owner, Lauren, is always accessible, and has created a guide that provides all you need to know about the cottage and the area. The sunrises are breathtaking. We went to view colorful fall leaves, and enjoyed so much more!

Stayed in late October while visiting my son at Syracuse. The weather was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy spectacular sunrises every morning. The house was perfect for a weekend away. Don’t miss visiting Filmore Gorge State Park. It’s amazing!

Lake was beautiful, was able to dock our boat (shallow water and lots seaweed near the dock, but didn’t impact our fun). The house was well maintained, comfortable beds, nice kayaks and paddleboard available and many yard games in great condition with a large yard to enjoy the space with easy parking for a boat trailer. Easy check-in and out process. Owner shared information about the area and house with quick responses. Would stay again.

Perfect visit

From ease of finding the house to all the amenities everything was simply perfect. The furniture was comfortable with an amazing lake view. The bed was great and water pressure was wonderful. We will definitely go back. I spoiled my wife with homemade waffles and bacon thanks to well provisioned kitchen. Auburn downtown was 9 minutes away which was the best of many years of staying at lake houses. Lots of good restaurants and Wegmans/tops.

Lakeside Gem

Our group had a wonderful stay at this cozy lakeside Gem. The property is beautiful and offers a large lakeside area to enjoy the lake views and evening fires. The host was very accommodating and all needs were met. We loved the morning sunrises and quiet setting. We definitely recommend!

Family Get Away

The property was beautiful and very homey. Big living room. The bathrooms were on the smaller side & “upstairs” had low ceilings. I would say anyone over 5’5 would have to watch their head. Kitchen lacked a few basic cookware. Other than that, property was wonderful. Loved drinking my morning coffee on the back porch.

A great escape right on the water

We had a blast staying on Owasco. Morning trips on the kayaks followed by exploration of the surrounding areas was great. A quick trip to Cayuga or Skaneateles gives you infinite options for food, drink and entertainment!

Wonderful

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home is located on a beautiful part of the lake. We took advantage of the kayaks and explored other parts of the lake. The fire pit was a great gathering spot in the evening. The home itself is very clean and comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay and we plan on returning next year.

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay. Lauren was excellent at communicating. The kitchen was so well stocked. It was awesome having sheets and (nice!) towels provided. Nice touches, such as plentiful phone chargers and shampoo/conditioner. So many fun activities to use from kayaks to lawn games. The location was ideal, feeling very private. Having a dock to bring our boat so great.Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Lakeside Retreat

Poplar Cove Was Perfect

We loved staying at this property - it had wonderful amenities, loads of kayaks, outdoor chairs, a fire pit - we had family members on the lake who could boat over, and we all enjoyed the deck and lawn. Beds super comfy! It was close to Auburn for shopping. We'd kayak every morning. Just great for a few days totally relaxing on a lake. Hope to be back!

Absolutely the BEST!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable home! Stunning location, right on the lake with amazing views from all the windows and lots of outdoor space to play. Beds were quite comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and the house was very clean. We were there in the winter, so couldn't take advantage of all the equipment for summer activities, but everything you need for water activities, barbecues and hanging out around a fire pit are there. The best part was the host, Lauren. She was so kind and easy to communicate with. It was a lovely and thoughtful surprise to find she decorated the home for the holidays, as we spent Christmas there. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. Looking forward to coming back !

Everything was absolutely amazing about this place. View was great, home was so nice. The only complaint that I had was the price for the cleaning crew. Compared to others it was quite high. But overall a wonderful experience!!
