Quaint mountain inn nestled in a Georgia state park. Very friendly staff, beautiful grounds and meticulously groomed walking paths and park across the street to visit the mountainside confederate stone carving and nighttime laser light show and fireworks. Word of caution though, it costs $20 to access the park where the inn is located.

This is not a Inn, it is a motel. You park your car outside of your room and the car lights shine right in the room. They have black out curtains, but they are too narrow, and thus you still have lights. The wall paper is peeling off the walls, the carpeting is filthy, the rumbling of the wall mounted air conditioner keeps you wide awake and it was all just gross.

Nice location, good price

Pros: Location, price.
Cons: Hotel guests should be allowed in the park without paying an admission fee. The park should take all major credit cards.
Location: Beautiful location outside Atlanta. Horrible traffic getting there. Lots of stuff to do on the mountain.
The only surprise is that you can't get to the hotel without paying a $15 admission fee to Stone Mountain Park. I didn't have cash, and they don't take AMEX. So, they wouldn't let me in the park to get to the hotel. Fortunately, I did end up having some $$$ in my car's console.

Quick Getaway

The hotel is literally steps away from all the attractions (across the street). The view of Stone Mountain from you room is beautiful. The back patio was nice with rocking chairs and a view of the garden/pool. The "Large" room is huge! It was such a peaceful beautiful place in the off season time. The hotel buffet was great! The staff at front office and the restaurant were very nice. I love that the hotel is in the park. The park charges $15 a day parking, so we did not have to pay that daily because we were staying in the park (we paid it once and they gave us a tag). We had trouble with our reservation from Travelocity (I suggest paying in advance) and the front desk and manager were very professional and courteous (even though it wasn't their fault). It was just a lovely stay and I can't wait to get back and explore the park more!

Over priced hotel for this property

I don't like give a place a bad review. Due to a late start arrived at midnight. Check in staff had difficulty in finding my reservations an a available room. Appeared to have overbooked hotel and after 20 minutes of calling a manager asking about codes finally found a room. It must have been the last resort room. I was told to check the room out and if not satisfied to come back. We would not have stayed but driving 10 hours we were exhausted. The room had a slight odor, the furniture inside was dated, did not unpack luggage felt we were in a horror movie expected mask killer to jump out behind.dated bathroom area. Like the Bates hotel. We were going to stay couple of nights decided after viewing room to leave the next day. Realized if we turned down room there was not other room options. Next day was told if we did not want the $15 per person breakfast we could go across to Stone Mountain ticket center they had a couple of restaurants. After checking out walked across to see what food was being offered. Both restaurants looked like they had been closed for a while. My family and I agreed we would have been better off staying at offsite hotel paid less. There was a Marriott convention hotel in park maybe should have considered it first before booking at the inn. I would not recommend unless you like to over pay for subpar hotel.

2017 Family Reunion

Pros: The size of the room. The view of Stone Mountain from the front door. The close access to the amenities at the park.
Cons: Update the television and address the loud heating and cooling system.
Location: Located within Stone Mountain Park so there was many things to see and do.
Overall the hotel was one that I would recommend. The television is outdated and not HD. We had trouble getting a clear picture. The air conditioner was VERY noisy. The room was large and spacious. We had a wonderful view of Stone Mountain from our front door and a view of the pool from the balcony. The hotel was located on site with access to all the Stone Mountain Park amenities. We were there for a family reunion so we did not spend much time in our rooms. We had a picnic at a pavilion located at Stone Mountain Park and the family reunion was a success. I think part of that success was choosing this hotel.

Convenient to everything in Stone Mountain Park

Pros: The Inn is within walking distance of the Skylift, the Laser Show, the Historic Square, and walking trails.
Cons: No complaints.
Location: Within an easy drive to the attractions that are not within walking distance.
My husband and I checked in on Saturday, May 14, 2016, right before the 4 pm check-in time. The lobby staff was very friendly and courteous, and explained our options for breakfast, as we were staying until Tuesday, and the inn did not offer buffet breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays, only continental breakfast. We opted to have breakfast those days at the other Marriott facility in the park, and were given vouchers. Our room was on the ground floor, very spacious, and very clean. Sliding doors leading out to a private porch area overlooking the pool, with two rocking chairs, was a nice surprise.

Pros: The grounds were very nice and the room was small but comfortable
Cons: Free Wi-Fi in every room would be much improvement because it was an expensive stay without adding expenses.
the place of the room was kind of eeiry because it was in a small dark hallway.
