Good location

Pros: Proximity and great valet service.
Cons: I am not sure that the shortcomings can be resolved without a huge capital expense. Instead of 2 "full" beds, I would have preferred one queen.
Location: much to do in Atlanta! Walked to great dinner.
We enjoyed the proximity to the city and GA Tech. Very helpful staff. The bed was short, even for short people. I think a function of being an older hotel. Overall a very nice stay. Excellent service from Valet staff.

Close to everything in midtown

The main issue is noise in hallways, stairway door is used often since this is a 3 story hotel and it's loud. Elevator is in the middle of the hotel - request a room away from the elevator and away the staircase door and you will have a good nights sleep. Beds are comfortable and the room is very functional and clean

These classic confines are quite convenient

Pros: Location, convenience, and friendly, efficient staff
Cons: I had no complaints, though some might find the rooms a little small.
Location: Across the street from the Art Center MARTA station: easy transit to downtown, GA Tech, and airport. Good restaurants and cultural centers close by.
I was in Atlanta for a conference at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Staying at the Artmore saved me lots of money and hassle: They offered safe, comfortable digs across the street from the Art Center MARTA station, which dropped me downtown in less than 10 minutes: no traffic, no parking fees, no hassle. The Artmore itself is a 92 year old property. As one might expect, the doors don't quite fit as precisely as they once did, and it's not 100% soundproof, but quieter than many big name hotels I've stayed at. If you need lots of elbow room, this may not be for you, but the room, though small, was comfortable, and everything worked just fine. If you choose to go with their "green" program (no daily maid service), you get coupons for free breakfast. Breakfast, by the way, is modest, but quite good, and (critical for me) with good coffee. Overall, a great stay. The staff is cheerful, receptive, and welcoming. Only complaint: the deadbolt of my door wouldn't engage (see note above about doors), though I had a chain. A quick comment to the housekeeping captain got the deadbolt problem fixed promptly. I'd definitely stay here again!

Clean, courteous, great location

Pros: I loved how close we were to the things we had planned to do. The area was pretty and our street view with tall buildings was lovely. The room itself was cozy. Beds were comfortable except for the pillows. The staff were all very helpful.
Cons: Rather than have a load of snack food that is so grossly overpriced on top of the fridge, I wish there had been a microwave to heat up take out. I haven't seen a hotel without one in ages.
Location: This is so close to everything. Atlantic Station, downtown things like World of Coke and the aquarium, restaurants of course. Nothing was a long drive

Great Hotel close to Downtown

Pros: The hotel has a lot of character. I will definitely consider staying here again! David, one of the valets is an asset to the hotel team...very nice
Cons: The only complaint that I have is that the bathroom is VERY small with little to no counter space which makes getting ready with make up, etc. difficu
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the Symphony Hall. We enjoyed a good pizza dinner at Davinci's which was right next door.
My son & I came to Atlanta for an overnight stay so we could attend a concert at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Making things right.

Pros: The staff.
Cons: AC on room 205?
Location: Tin Lizzies is a great Tex-Mex and 4 blocks to Symphony Hall, 2 blocks to Center Stage.
Our first room did not have adequate air conditioning and when we notified the front desk they sent out a technician. The outside unit had frozen because we had turned it down on the thermostat. They were kind enough to move us up one floor to a considerably nicer room and cool air conditioner. Great location, very helpful staff. I will go back in the near future.

Classy Place

Pros: All I was looking for was a good deal in Midtown; I got that and more Across from the MARTA station was real convienant
Cons: Places to eat near by. The breakfast offering at Artmore was truly lacking. I found Chistophers near the Midtown MARTA
Location: I was too busy to take the time. Maybe next trip.
This is classy place. Loved the room Reflects well on Atlanta

Good Location

Pros: Our room was clean (recently painted). Everything was in working order. Quiet A/C. The bed linens were crisp. Pillows were comfy. Towels were fluffy.
Cons: Wish they had better communicated there was complimentary fresh brewed coffee available in the AM - didn't think to check the bar.
Location: Safe area. Next to MARTA station, lots of good restaurants. Federal Reserve Bank and Margaret Mitchell's home offer tours. Long walk to Piedmont park.
We have never lived in a city where we used public transit, but thought we would try MARTA (avoid rental car/parking expense). We purchased a 4 day pass at the airport and hopped on MARTA's rail system right there! It delivered us to a stop directly across the street from the Artmore hotel. Excellent restaurants within walking distance, 2 of which were recommended by the hotel staff. From the hotel, we were able to jump on MARTA and head to the many attractions downtown. The Artmore is an old building which is really not my thing. The hallways are narrow and the bathrooms are tiny. There is no restaurant or pool. That being said, the staff won us over with their hospitality. On the first day, we arrived early and asked to leave our bags in order to get in some sightseeing. The clerk said our room was available and allowed us to check in right then. We were never disturbed by housekeeping staff, yet the room was always clean when we returned. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that ask you to reuse your towel "to save water" -which bugs me (Isn't that what I'm paying for?). Fresh towels and linens were provided daily.
