Fattoria La Pieve lays on the upper valley slopes that lead down to distant Grosseto and the sea. The resort is positioned above its organically tended olive groves and vineyards. Once a set of farm buildings, the stone structures has been restored into twelve cottages and apartments using traditional Tuscan stone, terracotta ceilings and floors and each has a furnished garden/terrace to dine al fresco in the cool evening breeze. Stone steps lead down to a resplendent rock pool designed swimming pool furnished with sunbeds and shady pergolas. The pool includes a beach pool for lounging, a shallow pool for children, a deep pool for swimmers and a heated Jacuzzi for all. Here, every evening, the sunsets turn the countryside to sea views into an unforgettable spectacle.



Fattoria La Pieve's surrounding untamed part of Tuscany is inhabited by Maremma's flora and fauna. It remains off the beaten track and is characterised by extensive forests, spectacular hilly country and lightly populated small towns and villages including Cana which clings to its hilltop, 6Km from the resort. Foodies will want to explore the region's Strada del Vino Montecucco e dei Sapori d'Amiata where artisans of locally recognised products from wine, cheese and oil olive to Safron, truffles and honey open their doors for tastings.  The more relaxed spa town of Saturnia at 30Km boasts Etruscan ruins, hot springs and a piazza lined with divine restaurants including one that serves the best ravioli ever! Away from the crowds, this resort helps you discover a Tuscany you didn't know.

About the villa

A beautiful modern ground floor villa which has stairs leading up to the terrace where you will find a table and chairs, sun loungers and a Jacuzzi. A place to have an aperitif where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside and on a clear day you can see the sea.
