Safety Concern

I immediately communicated with the host about the air conditioner requiring the sliding door to the patio to be open if operational. This would not have been possible at night and as a result, we could not stay there as it would have been easy for someone to come in and rob or assault us. HUGE safety issue! I informed host immediately and said I would NOT be staying there.

The air conditioning consisted of an evaporative cooler on the ground floor which was quite effective at cooling the area. Although the vents were broken and we had to prop them open with a coffee capsule for the air to distribute! The first floor where the master bedroom was located had NO AIRCONDITIONING! It only had a fan. This bedroom was very warm when we arrived and the fan did nothing to cool it down. The master bedroom also had no blinds or curtains! The flat was clean on the surface but not very clean if you looked deeper. Cutlery and utensils needed washing before using. There was black mould in the shower. Doors were dirty. The toilet door on the ground floor didn’t shut and the toilet roll holder was broken and sitting on the shelf. The master bedroom had no ceiling light only a lamp which you had to squat down to turn on as the ceiling is slanted. It would’ve great to have some washing powder supplied for the washing machine as most travellers don’t carry this. It was a lovely bright flat but the false advertising and the lack of attention to detail made it below expectation. The info booklet was in French only. An English copy would’ve been great! And the communication from the agency was poor!

Leuk verblijf en op wandelafstand van het centrum in een rustige buurt. Aan te raden met een groot gezin van 5! De privé parkeerplaats kon iets gemakkelijker aangeduid staan.
