Came in to no AC. Staff did not fix, lied that it was working, and refused to call management. They provides a noisy fan. Worst sleep ever. When you pay the price they charge you except to get quality and eceptional customer service. Don't waste your money!

10/10 recommend! From service, hospitality, cleanliness and location, everything exceeded expectations! Andre at the front desk was a gem, he made sure my day was special on my birthday! I was greeted with a bottle of bubbly when I came back to the hotel ☺️ Location was great for me! 8 minutes walk to the nicest beaches and a quick Uber ride to the old town! I loved that this place was so clean, and away from the chaos at the old town!

Great stay at Vila Maria

We chose this hotel as it was adult friendly. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony. The blackout curtains were a blessing. The shower room was a little awkward and easy to leak water into the toilet area but that was the only issue we had with the design. The pool area was lovely and the continental breakfast had a good range of items to choose from. Special thanks to Luciano and Milene who were both super helpful and made our stay feel comfortable and pleasant.

The front desk staff were great. The male bartender at the pool was fantastic but the female was the opposite. She was on her phone to the point where she would delay looking up to acknowledge us. Then when asked for towels or an ashtray she appeared to be going out of her way. The breakfast on the first morning was also chaotic.

We were not happy that the hotel had no air conditioning while we were there, when we checked out and paid our bell we were charged 23 euros for two glasses of house wine the we had by the pool. very excessive.

The hotel has the air conditioning locked at 22 celsius. It was very hot and the room wouldn’t cool. I opened the window and the noise was way too loud. Not a good night sleep with the heat and noise.
