Loved our stay here. Exactly as pictured and described. The beach was beautiful. There is snorkeling directly from the beach. Do bring water shoes and your own snorkel gear, though the unit has a basket of mismatched gear available. This a small condo building with about 8 units. There were always ample beach chairs available. There are a couple restaurants within a quarter mile to the north, and the town proper with a large number of restaurants about a mile to the south. We walked, but golf cart and bike rentals were available as well. Our driver did have some trouble finding the place; it does not seem to have a fixed address.

Great location in Half Moon Bay and the condo was perfect for our family of 4! The AC worked great and the beds were comfy. Great view of sunrise every morning from the balcony too! Good snorkeling just out to the left of their little beach and a few great restaurants in walking distance to the condo.

Amazing vacation

The condo was absolutely perfect. What a location! The food in the area is unbelievable. We rented bikes. We rented a golf cart. We loved the beach. Everything was perfect. The location of the beach is the best in the area. The condo is immaculate. You can’t go wrong with this place. The concierge was very helpful. All the people in the area and locals are very nice. We loved it!

Great Beach Experience

I would highly recommend this Condo in Akumal. It had a true Mexican vibe and was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. Two bathrooms were a plus. Unfortunately, the seaweed moved in a month early but that did not take away from the view and our walks on the beach. Restaurants are close enough to walk and a small grocery was practically across the street. Our concierge was very helpful and actually found us a taxi for 5am when the taxi that we had paid for at the airport did not show up. Do not buy a roundtrip from the airport. Lesson learned. The one thing I would recommend if you do not have a car is to rent a golf cart. They are very handy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Beach is a no go. Sea grass up to three feet tall stacked on beach. Smells terrible.

All though this is a beautiful condo, this will be my last visit. The last two times visiting Half Moon Bay have been disappointing. Sea grass is stacked on the beach three feet high and emits a disgusting aroma. If you are looking for a beautiful white sandy beach you will not find it in Half Moon Bay.

Beautiful condo in great location

I have been to Akumal, including Half Moon Bay, many times. This was my first stay at this property. It was clean, well appointed, secure, had excellent service from the office and housekeeping staff, and is on one of the nicest sections of beach on Half Moon Bay. When we were leaving for another city, my son buried his special stuffed animal in the sofa cushions and we didn't realize it when doing a final sweep. A few hours later I called the property manager and he had the housekeeping staff locate it and set it aside at the office for me. When we came back through Akumal several days later, it was waiting for us at the office. I cannot thank them enough.

Great spot right on the beach

Lovely condo right on the beach. The place was clean and comfortable and the location was great. Loved being able to hear the waves and walk right out onto a quiet beach. Highly recommend!

Wonderful for our family!

We loved this place. It is the perfect size for a family of five. Plenty of closet and storage space. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the essentials. The view is amazing! Marcial, the caretaker, was very friendly and resourceful. The place is very clean and bright. We loved it!!!

We loved this cozy condo on the beach. It was perfect for our family of four. Don Miguel was a gracious host, and Rosa kept it clean and comfortable. Very well managed. Highly recommended!

Feels Like Home with an Ocean View

We felt right at home at this place. It was so nice! The beds were comfy and we had everything we could possibly need. However, sargasso was very bad and had begun to smell. The management company actually moved us to another home. Once we got to the new place, we actually missed this place! We had only been there a day and went through withdrawal. Akumal is such a neat little village and everyone is so nice! Great food, fun, and sun!

Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! From check in to check out! Everyone was super attentive. We had an issue with the electricity and they were right on top of it! The hosts were very responsive! :) I would definitely come back and stay! Housekeeping was there and came every other day which was perfect for my mother and myself!

Just what we were looking for

We had a great time and the condo was the perfect size for the 3 of us. It was nice and clean and had the traditional Mexican look that we enjoy. Again this trip we didn't rent a car so the bicycles we rented from the office worked perfectly to get around. The Sargassum (seaweed) was a bit of a mess in Half Moon Bay but our grounds keepers kept our beach nice and clean every morning. :) The water was somewhat rough while we were there so we spent a few days snorkeling at Yal Ku Lagoon and Turtle Bay and even did a day trip to snorkel Cozumel. We haven't stayed in the area for 2 years but found the area restaurants were still just as good as we remembered. In the past we have stopped in Playa Del Carmen for groceries but this time we just shopped in town for breakfast and lunch items at the little markets and found the prices very comparable to Walmart. We also appreciated the little store that's half a block away for those last minute items or drinks. I would recommend this condo to anyone who doesn't have problems getting up and down a couple flights of stairs. The views are as amazing as advertised.

This was our second trip to stay in LaBahia #3 and we loved it as much this time as we did our first trip. The condo is clean and spacious, the staff wonderful and the view is outstanding!!! What a View

What a great place! We left wishing we had at least another week to enjoy the peace and beauty of Half Moon Bay. The condo is so beautifully Mexican with bright colors, interesting tile work, and even the dishes are colorful. The Condo is spacious with two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath. The kitchen has all one needs to prepare meals, and we felt totally spoiled by daily maid service, replenishing towels as needed and even washing dishes we hadn't gotten to yet. Fellow condo occupants were friendly.and made us feel right at home. If you don't want to cook, fun beachside restaurants are close at hand. The office staff was helpful, and I would recommend the day trip run by Community. Tours into the Sian Ka-an Biosphere. You can also rent bikes or golf carts for alternative transportation. We definitely have this at the top of our list for a return trip to Mexico. Thanks for a great time.

Relaxing and Comfortable!

We loved our stay at La Bahia #3 and were sad when we had to leave! It was perfect for our family of four. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view is amazing and we spent a lot of time on the balcony just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. My teenaged daughters also appreciated the free wi-fi and my husband was happy that the tv had cable so he could watch his basketball game. We will definitely be back!

Right on the beach

Clean, close to everything in Half Moon Bay and Akumal. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Linens, beach towels, shampoo, dish washing detergent, spices. Air conditioning if needed, large water cooler, nice size refrigerator. Right on the beach, plenty of chairs available. Snorkeling is always amazing. Very helpful employees. Would stay here again.

Beautiful beachfront condo!

This was our first visit to Akumal and we LOVED every minute of our time here. First of all, the view from the condo is incredible...not just from the balcony but from nearly every room in the condo. The condo was clean, the bed comfortable (a huge plus for us) and the staff was awesome! The kitchen is well equipped and purified water is included. It was a nice treat to have daily maid service that included someone washing our dishes!!! The beach is kept clean and there are chairs, palapa's and beach towels provided. Snorkeling in the bay we spotted several turtles, fish and coral. When the bay was too rough to snorkel, we walked just down the way to Yal Ku, a must see/do while here. We loved La Lunita for dinner and ate there every night. La Buena Vida has great ceviche and was another one of our favorites for lunch, also an easy walk from the condo. We had a car and made the drive to Tulum to see the ruins...make sure to get there early. Once the busses start rolling in, it gets really crowded. Thank you for all the extra details you and the staff here provide to make a vacation wonderful!!! We are already planning our trip back next year- Muchos Gracias!!!

Gorgeous Ocean Front Condo

We loved this place. Comfortable and casual. Clean and eco friendly. Great friendly and helpful staff. So easy to walk into Akumal and to several restaurants and bars. Such an easy and lovely place to stay with my 3 adult children. Would definitely go back.

Magnificent Condo and 2nd time back!

We just loved this condo so much we came back exactly one year later for another visit. The amazing views, the amazing staff, the locals too... all amazing. We even got to watch baby turtles leave there nest and run to the ocean! This condo is great for families, couples or a friend group getaway. If your looking for a quiet, spacious, relaxing stay in a beautiful hidden gem of a beachtown, this is definitely the place!

Outstanding Stay at a Beautiful Location

This condo is one of the best on Half Moon Bay. Has everything one needs for a great stay. This is not my first stay at this condo (have stayed at least 3 other times) but I am always pleasantly reminded how great the décor is and the view. I will also say that the Staff that manages and cares for La Bahia is the best. This trip the Security Guard asked if we wanted to be awakened at night if there was "turtle action" on the beach. We said yes and he faithfully came to get us no matter the time of night. As a result we saw turtle hatch and turtles laying eggs. Very pleasant and engaging young man and it was fun trying to learn enough Spanish to communicate with him. The owner of this condo is also fabulous to work with. Love the place, love the condo. Please do wear your life vests and snorkel with a buddy! Unfortunately while we were there an older gentleman staying at a different condo apparently had a medical issue and passed away while snorkeling. There were many good Samaritans that helped and the Staff at La Bahia did what they could as well, even though the person wasn't staying at La Bahia. It was a very difficult situation for the family and all of us on the beach when it occurred.

Awesome place

The view is incredible. The location is great. You can walk to a couple of restaurants for dinner (La Lunita which had great food and La Buenna Vida where the food wasn't good still a nice place to chill). The main beach in Akumal is the place to hang out for the day. I recommend renting a Palapa with a couple of lounge chairs for $20 next to the restaurant there (La Hoya restaurant) The snorkeling is the best anywhere. Plenty of turtles... Akumal has had more development including Secrets Hotel but Akumal has retained its charm through the years. My wife and I truly enjoyed the condo and spent hours in the Hammock. Highly recommend the place!!!
