Air New Zealand Post Booking Tips

How to I find my flight number?

  • When you've finalized your booking, take a look in your inbox for your itinerary. Your flight number is in this document. You won't have too many problems pinpointing it — just keep an eye out for a code containing numbers and letters. The first one to two letters and digit are called an IATA airline code and represent the airline you're traveling with. Following this are one, two, three or four digits which make up your flight number.

How early can you check bags for a flight?

  • If you're eager to arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare, you'll be happy to hear that you can check your bags in up to three hours before an international flight and two hours before a domestic one. Not sure what the check-in closing times are? For international flights, it's one hour prior to departure. For domestic flights, it's usually 45 minutes.

As usual, seats too small and close together. Love AirNZ staff in the air and on the ground.

Awesome except my bag is still in San Francisco. And I had to pay for a hotel for the night due to Phoenix flight being late.

I would like more verity in movie selection but, not the end of the world by any stretch. Great airline to be sure.

Not a fan of the rude staff at check in but this seems typical for Heathrow. If you can't check in at the kiosk good luck finding an actual person to help you who doesn't have an attitude. Other than that no complaints about the flight attendants. They made the flight a good experience so that helps. Just be aware if you have down feather allergies Air New Zealand uses these pillows in premium economy. Even if you get rid of yours you still have to sit next to someone else who has one.
