Perfect Wedding!

This home was perfect for our small wedding of 22! There was plenty of room for the people who stayed, and there was never a boring moment. The house is full of family games, a super fun area for kids with every toy they’ll ever love, and space to just sit and watch a movie together. The pool and hot tub were well loved! There are also outdoor games which were perfect for our backyard wedding, and the fire pit for s’mores was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the wedding, plus there were plenty of areas to get ready before the ceremony. If all of these things weren’t already wonderful enough, the host and his family were absolutely amazing, kind, and thoughtful. If you’re looking for a perfect place for your family to stay near Columbus, this listing can’t be beat!

Couldn't have asked for more!

We had such a wonderful visit here with our recent Fort Benning graduate. I really agonized over staying here because t seemed so far from the base. In the end, it was perfect! Such a beautiful, high end and clean home! We had extended family from California fly in and several drive over from South Carolina. All to share in the festivities and visit. We had 16 at times, but the house is SO huge, you'd never know! There was everything you could possibly need. Kitchen was nicely stocked. They even had condiments and lots of cooking basic. Extra pool towels and linens. There's so much space that age groups could do their own thing then gather for meals/ games etc. And what an impressive amount of quality board games! The huge private yard was awesome. We set up volleyball and the kids has a blast. Hot tub in the evening with the patio lights was a big hit. The fireplace in the screened in porch was used nightly for the adults and great for "bug free" s'more's and hot dogs. We had such a great time and ended up extending our stay. We'd definitely stay for his next event if it weren't already booked! Thanks again from Buffalo!

Great space for family gathering

We chose to stay at this property because we wanted to visit our son stationed at Ft. Benning. This house was perfect. Extended family came as well. The pool and hot tub area was great. The house has everything and anything you could need including games and toys for younger kids. It’s 20-30 minutes from downtown Columbus and Ft. Benning. We would definitely stay here again. It was so peaceful!

Perfect for large group visiting Fort Moore

We booked this incredible home for our son’s Army graduation ceremony/family weekend & it was absolutely perfect! Hard to explain just how big it actually is. We only had 8 people staying but it easily could have held 16. Location is in a quiet country setting but only 15 mins from all city amenities & roughly 30 mins from Fort Moore. Highly recommended! The host was very friendly & helpful as well.

Lightning Hill stay for grandson Turning Green graduation

The house is huge and was a great choice for our group, which included our grandson and his fiancee, our granddaughter, our son-in-law and our daughter. The house met all our requirements and then some, and the owner/property manager was exceptionally helpful. Highly recommended.

Quiet Oasis

We came to Georgia for a Military graduation. Family came from 5 states. We loved the house, we had plenty of space to play games, cook and eat together, do puzzles, play outdoors, get family pics, etc. It had most of what we needed and what we didn’t have the owner provided. The house and property is beautiful. The owners were so nice and on top of everything we needed, very accommodating. We were all very impressed, it was everything described and more! We would definitely rebook if we are in the area again.

Perfect for a trip with extended family

This home was perfect for a multiple family vacation. Plenty of seating. We loved the pool and hot tub. The owner was very responsive. We were a little worried about one of the rooms with a pull out couch being really bright for a family member with sensory needs, and the owner even offered to get shades for us. It didn’t end up being a problem but we greatly appreciated him being willing to try to help us. We liked that it wasn’t too far from food and the grocery.

"If I Ever Get Back to Georgia, I'm Gonna Nail my Feet to the Ground." Lewis Grizzard

We booked this house for our daughter's Senior Trip. We booked a guided fishing charter and white water rafting while we were there. This house is amazing! It's an absolute beauty! We loved the owners and they were super awesome to deal with. Even if you just stay onsite all week the pool and hot tub are PHENOMENAL! We had 16 people and we were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is STOCKED with anything you can imagine you may need. Definitely hone away from home. Jenny has the set up when it comes to games, puzzles, art supplies, books, and anything you can imagine for indoor entertainment. You will not be disappointed if you book this property! Thank you Josh and Jenny for an amazing property and for all your kindness!

Family Vacation

We truly enjoyed our vacation. The property had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. My family had so much fun in the pool and outdoor space. The kitchen was amazing and was well stocked with the essentials to prepare our meals. The kids loved the art and music room too.

Unbelievable home and host

We can not say enough about our stay. Every year our family (3 grown children and spouses and 6 grandchildren) get together the weekend before Christmas to celebrate our family Christmas. This is by far the best location we have stayed. So much room!!! Every family had their own bedroom with their own bathroom. The living room area was big enough for us all to sit and spend time together. The grandchildren had so many fun toys to play with. The kitchen was so large and fully stocked for us to cook our meals together. We all wanted this kitchen in our own homes. To top it all off, the house was so wonderfully decorated for Christmas that is just made our stay that much more special. The host was terrific. So quick to respond. We could go on and on about how special this home was for our Christmas gathering. Highly Recommend!!!
