Strike Gold at Laughlin Hotels
Travelers once came to this southern Nevada town in search of gold. Today, the pursuit continues, but by way of dice, cards, and slot machines instead of mining tools. The small mining town has flourished into one of Nevada's top three gambling destinations, with four million visitors packing out Laughlin hotels each year.
Casino resorts are by far the most popular Laughlin hotels in town, but there are familiar chains, budget options, and luxury accommodations as well. While still having its share of glitz and glamor, Laughlin is considered to be more family-friendly than other neighboring gambling destinations.
Winning Vacations in Laughlin
There is plenty more to do than just trying your luck at winning big when in town. Sitting on the banks of the Colorado River, you'll find many hotels in Laughlin linked by the Laughlin Riverwalk, a pedestrian walkway offering scenic views of the water and surrounding desert landscape. The waterway is also a popular draw, with numerous water activities such as boating, rafting, and event cruises available.
Because of its location, stays at Laughlin cheap hotels can serve as a gateway to surrounding attractions, such as a visit to the Colorado River Museum where you can learn about the city and its Davis Dam. Las Vegas is less than two hours away, and tours of the nearby Grand Canyon where you can experience a hair-raising trip across the Skywalk, are most often on tourist vacation itineraries.
