I just completed a stay at the Tapestry Scholar State College staying the night of Saturday February 17, 2024. Although the hotel was very nice and in a good  location, I cannot recommend staying there.   Besides the  location, the main reason that I picked this hotel was due to the fact that there were supposed to be soundproof rooms according to the Expedia website.  We stayed in Room 308.  The plan was to have my oldest daughter who was working at THON to stay with us/sleep Saturday night until her next shift started at 2 AM. However there was a significant amount of noise from 1030-1145pm (loud guests), which at first I believed to be in the hallway, but discovered was coming into our room via the connecting inner door. It pretty much sounded like the people in the next room were  actually in our room it was so loud.   As such my daughter did not get a good chance to rest and subsequently we are quite disappointed given that I paid $347 to stay there for the night.

The service was excellent. There was one person in particular named Cara at the front desk who was amazing. Love the hardwood floors in the rooms instead of the nasty carpet. It was a great stay!

Our stay at the Scholar was great. It is right in the middle of downtown State College so we can walk everywhere. The room was clean and much larger than I expected. Bed was very comfortable. We definitely would stay here again.
