Needs a good clean
Great breakfast & friendly staff. First room had a broken loo. Replaced room was very tired and needed a good clean. Flaking paint on the walls, spilt drink splatter, cobwebs and dirt in the bathroom.

The hotel is a very old-fashioned hotel situated in the heart of Winchester. The location was perfect for us and the hotel car-park was a God-send. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel decor is very tired and in need of a facelift (which is happening in early 2024) but room was very comfortable with easy-to-access Wifi. We have recommended that more drawer storage is made part of the planned facelift as this was very limited.

When we first arrived it took a while for either receptionists to acknowledge us. We were told the room number but not given any directions, we had to ask where the room was.
