Relaxing Mother’s Day getaway.🌸💐
The Juniper house fit the bill to host my group of 11 and three dogs! The location couldn’t be more perfect for the everyone to find something to do. Whether you wanted to walk to the park and checkout the hot air balloons or check out the endless wine tasting in downtown or sit still at the house and start your own championship at Golden Tee! This house worked out just right for us! Patty was prompt with every question we had and had great info to share! If you plan to cook your own meals. The kitchen is well stocked with a spice cabinet loaded with the staples and then some. This was a gem of a visit to remember!

This is a great house and worked well for our group. It would be hard for older people to get upstairs.

Girls Weekend
The home is as described and centrally located to wineries, Whitman College, and downtown. Easy entry/exit to home. A couple of challenges: there is one heating/cooling system, so despite having the thermostat set to 58 (it was 25 degrees outside), the upstairs bedroom guests were sweating and had to run their air conditioners (which just pushed the hot air down further). Notified owner of a leaking Keurig and the heating/cooling issue, but no response. Carpets really need cleaning. But the biggest issue is that I noticed a few little bites on my arms on the last day of our stay but didn't think much of it. By the next morning, I was covered in welts over both arms, my back, my neck and my forehead. I had alerted owner to this when we left and she responded she would have cleaners be extra diligent and said "sorry that happened." After I got home, I was in distress from scratching and went to my primary care physician who said I had bed bug bites all over me (about 100 bites). I alerted the owner again who responded that the mattress was new and they clean after every guest, so "sorry." VRBO was equally nonresponsive saying I should have let them know when we arrived there was a problem. I'll be honest, I have never even thought about checking beds for bed bugs when I check in. I will now - I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. And I'm out $200 for dr. visit and tub of steroid cream I have had to apply every day for last 7 days. Extremely disappointed in owner & VRBO.

The Juniper House was/is as pictured. This is a HUGE three story house with lots of amenities, inside and out. There are board games a-plenty, a nice backyard, fast wifi, three coffee makers. Kitchen drawers are well labeled and there are plenty of cooking supplies. The water pressure in the downstairs shower was weak (but not a deal breaker). I wish there was an ottoman downstairs in the TV "pit;" would have helped while we were watching Netflix ;) There's also a full size washer/dryer (handy for families). Squishy robes are provided in the closet. The neighborhood is super quiet and the beds are marvelous! If you don't park in the back, make sure to park on the opposite side of the street from the house. The front porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy the weather after lunch. The neighborhood has some beautiful neo Victorian houses; perfect for a morning walk around. Neighbors are friendly and you will meet lots of cute dogs. The house is 5 - 10 mins from downtown and about 20 mins from the wineries we visited. I think we got a lot for our money and I would highly recommend this property for family reunions, girls' vay-cay, or couples visiting the vineyards.

We had a chicks weekend, and it was a wonderful stay. The home is in an older, quiet neighborhood with lots of parking in the back.
