Comfortable and affordable hotel near Venice

Pros: Clean, economical, and a good location for someone visiting Venice on a budget.
Cons: Would be nice to have a shower curtain on the tub.
Location: Located on a main street to the Mestre City Center about 15 minutes walk from the train station. Easy to find location.
Our vacation included 3 days in Venice but when we looked for a hotel in Venice the prices were way more than we wanted to pay. We found the Adria in Mestre to be a good answer to this problem. Located an easy 15 minute walk from the Mestre train station the hotel is a perfect starting point for the 5 minute train ride into Venice (1.25 Euro each way). The hotel is staffed with friendly and helpful people and they serve a good breakfast. There restaurants in the Mestre city center (about 5 minutes walk) that provide good options for meals that are better than, and much cheaper, than eating in Venice. The hotel is very clean and in good condition. It is on a street with access to bus and tram service but it is quiet at night. We found the bed a little firmer than what we like but we slept fine so no problems there.
