Wintertime fun includes ice fishing for the particularly hardy, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and sampling the Friday night fish fry at local supper clubs. Just four miles away, tiny Three Lakes (population 498), with several restaurants, a winery, and a small grocery store. For more options, head to Eagle River, 14 miles away. Not a Studio. Its a Guest Suite to a Condo Unit
Booking process: 0/10 . This property is managed by some company called Vacassa. I booked via VRBO, received a confirmation email, my credit card was charged and we thought we were good to go on our vacation and were planning what to do in three lakes. However Vacassa requires you to verify your identity directly with them via a separate process. I missed the email as it came later and they canceled the reservation the next morning. Luckily the room was still available and I rebooked it, but then had to give some random company my drivers license and a selfie. Seems like a great way for identity theft if they get hacked as who knows what they do with that info. This unit is listed as a Studio. Its not really. Its a guest suite to another condo. Meaning that the owners of the condo could have access to your unit while you are staying there via a shared locked door. It's similar to a shared hotel suite with adjoining doors. To call it its own unit though, I think is misleading. Luckily no one was there while we were onsite. There is no stove in the kitchenette, which we knew in advance. It's more like a hotel room then a studio. Coffee is provided for 1 day. Unfortunately we were there for 3 nights. It would have been nice to have additional coffee bags for the coffee maker in the cabinets. Overall the amenities at this condo unit were fantastic! The pool / hot tub / work out room were really clean and well maintained. It also had a fun game area with ping pong and pool.
