Extremely pleasant winter stay

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, sunny room. Very nice breakfast. Good location to spots of interest.
Location: One block from the beach, easy to reach the promenade. Close to Allenby.
A short stay of 2 days in February, however in my case the weather was excellent.

Location is outstanding and one of the best.

Pros: Staff, location
Location: Right next to the beach and several great places to eat
Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Couple nice places to eat in less than a block.

Short of Expectation

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: no dresser, no closet, no coffee maker, no iron
Based on the advertised description and conversation with staff prior to booking, we opted for two weeks in the penthouse suite for our needs. Upon arrival, thinking we were in the wrong room, we are told the largest penthouse suite does not have two rooms in addition to other amenities as described, but rather only one bedroom. This is a two star hotel without basic room amenities such as iron or board, coffee maker, ice, etc. that one would expect in a penthouse suite at this caliber of hotel. We found ourselves constantly short of clean dry towels, and the floors are not part of daily cleaning. Although no smoking is the hotel policy, adjacent rooms' perfumes and cigarette smoke pumped into our room through the air system. The customer service afforded by the staff is inconsistent, some very good, most very poor. Do not expect any level of customer service from this hotel. Even being there for two weeks in the only penthouse suite, we were asked daily for our room number and names. The room is nice, not great, no closet, no dresser, no mirror in bedroom.
