I apologize that you were unhappy with your stay. Husband and wife!? You spoke to me and I aam not married. I apologize there was no one in the lobby when you needed to hand someone your key and I may not be able to sit at the desk and watch guests eat but I can assure you that your room was not only clean, but recently renovated as well. The traditional keys are an issue that we continue to make better but I can assure you there were other places to stay here in Eagle Nest, and had you not liked your room then you should have said something upon checking in like your registration card states or even when I spoke with you in the lobby and you told me your room was "great". Your review does not deter the fact that as mentioned in email you destroyed my hotel room during spring break, which means I had to cancel and change reservations for others. Both of the bed frames are completely destroyed and one looks like it was even set on fire. The smell of smoke is horrible for my non smoking guests, towels gone, new window latches broken, missing towels and a mattress set that was shredded. I'm not sure as to your intended result with the review but I can assure you, I am not inviting you back to this hotel, and local law enforcement has also been notified.

This property is run down and not worth the $$ they charge. We had one light that worked by the bed. The other two lamps did not even have light bulbs. There was a used coffee filter in the coffee maker (gross) there was not even a coffee pot (?) or coffee with the coffee maker so we couldn't make coffee. We were provided with a Wi-Fi password but could never connect to the Wi-Fi. The toilet paper & paper holder was in the floor. There was no ice bucket to get ice. No cups either. There was no one at check in so our keys were pinned to a board out front, which is fine but that leaves no one to talk to about the issues we had. The bathtub was old looking and stained. Basically we looked over the sheets to make sure they were clean, tried to sleep, took a quick shower and checked out asap the next morning. Oh-the card that was left in our room giving us the Wi-Fi password also stated they would have a full breakfast in the lobby-we didn't even bother to see if there was one after everything else. Maybe if they tear this place down and rebuild it we would give it another try.

Pleasant experience at Eagle Nest. Comfortable room with a splendid mountain view. Staff was courteous and truly concerned with the well being of customers. Room had new carpet and bathroom floor tile. Free WIFI and Dish TV. Room was clean and made up each day of my stay. Complimentary breakfast with cereal, oatmeal, waffles, juice and milk. Will stay there again when in the area.

A Great Find!!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
We happened on this motel when we were looking for a place to stay while traveling through this beautiful part of the country. We booked the room - and when we arrived, we were very glad we did! The owners were fantastic- so nice and accommodating! Our room was great. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was the best of all. Near a small lake, the tranquility and quiet of the area was just what two tired travelers needed. It doesn't have a lot of fancy frills- but it's well run, clean and well priced. Within just a few miles of the hotel, we saw 2 bears, deer, wild turkeys and elk. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip!
