In the village shop you get the most necessary (1.5 km), in several supermarkets (12 km) or in Sesimbra (12 km) you can do the big shopping. In the excellently equipped kitchen with a 4-burner induction cooker, amateur cooks and cooking professionals have every opportunity.
The beaches nearby are diverse, from the 20-kilometer-long sandy beach that stretches almost to Lisbon, to lagoons with shallow water for small children, to the rocky coast with small, quiet bays and crystal-clear water. You can hike along the rocky coast with very beautiful views.
Sesimbra, the old fishing town, offers a wide range of leisure activities, from kayak rentals to diving schools and boat rentals. Numerous small restaurants and cafes spoil their customers.
Lisbon is just under an hour's drive away. There are many other excursion destinations, for example: Cabo Espichel (an old monastery on cliffs), Sintra with its gardens and its fairytale castle, the Arrabida (a nature reserve with great views of the sea), the Troia peninsula, in front of which dolphins are often seen are.
