We were traveling through and looking for a place to stay for one night and found the Star Motel. It’s convenient to lots of shopping and restaurants. The room is a step back in time, small but extremely clean and functional. If you want to rest and enjoy the mountain air or just want to people watch you can sit in the chairs on the stop and have a view of the beautiful Sedona mountains. The Star Motel is definitely a hidden gem!!

This is an old motel, and it is showing its age. Leaky plumbing and worn appliances. But it is priced appropriately and super convenient and walkable. The units in back would be quieter and appear newer, if you can get one of those.

A deluxe motel
So many excellent things here. Much attention has been give to provide comfort and convenience for the guests. Cannot recommend this motel enough.

It was a little bit noisy this stay. Truck parking in our designated spot from work places. It’s a good place but during the week in the morning be prepared for all the garbage trucks, delivery trucks etc going down that road early

There is no attendant at this motel - you are basically on your own Had to call twice upon arrival to get room number. Booked on Hotels.com and the motel didn’t text me fhe info - took two calls to get the info texeted so i could get in the room Upon entering room - heat was off - was not even 50 degrees inside. Called for help and they couldnt send anyone - 20 minutes later i spoke with mike who had me disconnect the unit and plug in - started working. Took more then 2 hours for room to reach adequate temp of 65. Heater cycled on/ off all night and was very loud - horrible night sleep There are no lights outside my room- with curbs and hazards - was dangerous after dark to walk from your room Walkways were covered with salt - snow had melted so should have been swept, There is no safety bar or chain inside room- door could easily be pushed in and doors showed signs that had occurred before. Two lamps with dim bulbs is all the room offered - not enough light to read a book- i had to use my own headlamp. Room reminded me of a concrete bunker with two beds - not even a chair though plenty of room for one. Terrible experience with this motel
