Beautiful view
We had a quick stay, it was nice sitting out on the deck enjoying the view. A few things could be updated and maintained but we enjoyed the place. The property manager was very attentive and responsive.

Shortened trip due to weather
Unfortunately we had to leave early due to a pending winter storm. This is the 1st time in 20-25 yrs I actually “lost” money and time on a vacation and had to leave early (wasn’t worth us getting “stuck” on the mountain for another 2-3 days). Location is great. We did not have TV this time due to a severe storm in the area, and downed trees everywhere. We received a call from Management t company before we arrived and comped us for the lack of TV. We had to change our plans accordingly with Football playoffs. Specifically for the house - was very clean. We unfortunately were also not able to have a fire on the inside (fireplace was “closed’), and no fire pit either on outside. The house is located right next to several homes that were very unsightly and had trash all over the place. Wasn’t very inviting to say the least when we pulled up. A WORD OF CAUTION FOR THIS HOME in regards to the driveway - we had trouble on several occasions making it up the hill to get on the main road. The gravel has settled to the bottom, and the crush-and-run needs to be replaced and/or repaired. I’m sure cars can possibly still make it up, but you will want to have the “clearance” with an SUV or Truck. Although we purchased “through” VRBO and was a Vacasa Management property, I do not personally think I will EVER purchase a rental through Vacasa in the future. It was not a “personal” connection with the issues we faced, from no TV, to driveway issues, and especially with the

As others have said, the property on the left as you turn into the driveway is a little alarming, but the rental property itself was just what we needed for our family while we were in town for Thanksgiving.

Log Cabin
Very roomy beautiful view much better than staying in a motel. Linens and bedding were clean. The only downside was it wasn't clean, flours dirty we vacuum and swept. They also didn't dust most of the furniture or fans. Living room furniture had no springs left not very comfortable. That being said for the price it was 100% better than staying in a hotel/motel.

SLTC graduation
We came down for my son’s lineman graduation in Trenton from Massachusetts. The house was a perfect set up for the 5 of us. The house is definitely in need of some updates. The back deck had some soft spots in the floor and the railing was wobbly. There definitely needs to be more outdoor seating available and the seating that is there needs to be removed as it also is falling apart and had nails sticking out where the wood had rotted off. We did have issues with a ton of little ants all over the kitchen too. But we loved the location. The cabin was cozy and had plenty of room for all of us. I don’t want to bash this rental as it’s not their fault, it’s just nature but the second night there my daughter had gone out to her car to grab something and it was dark and she stepped on a copperhead or a rattlesnake (she never saw it) in the driveway and it bit her. We called 911 and the ambulance took her to the hospital in Chattanooga and she spent the next 19 hours there getting antivenin treatments. we were still there at 10 when cleaner showed up so I let her know what happened and I called vacasa to let them know so they could get someone there to treat the area. Being from the North and not having many poisonous snakes around us this incident never really crossed our minds until it happened. So my point in telling this is to make you aware and pay attention to where you step!! We would definitely stay here again and I would bring binoculars, the view is amazing!!!

Gorgeous view…
Trash cans (2) overflowing when arrived. Yard needs mowed. Not enough seating on deck for 6 people. No blinds/curtains downstairs except on doors to the deck. No curtains/blinds in bathroom window facing the driveway. Under deck needs cleaned out. It’s an eye sore and critter attractant. Hoarders next to driveway. Saw a naked man getting out of his car. Our child saw it as well. Would suggest a 4 wheel drive for driveway to make it easier to not sling rocks. Contact numbers need updated on fridge. Welcome email had wrong number listed. The number listed did not service this area. Sent a text to the number given to me about the trash. Got response Monday. Said they would have someone come out that day to pick it up. Trash still there when we left Friday even though I sent multiple texts with no response after the one on Monday. Games need to be replaced. Downstairs bedrooms do Not have TVs. There is one closet downstairs but no hangers. No dressers either. Master bedroom was upstairs. With the hoarders next door we did not feel comfortable with our son sleeping downstairs by himself. Most nights he slept on couch upstairs. Or I slept in a room with him downstairs. Driveway limbs need cut back. Ants at the kitchen sink but we sprayed ant killer and that helped. Gorgeous view. Love the cabin. With minimal effort this property could be even better. The price was a deal but probably won’t stay again due to the naked guy. Overall I’d give it 4 stars.
