Hotel has lots of character and free parking. Walls are thin and you can hear everything from outside and inside the hotel. Bathroom is updated but very small.

Girls Saturday! Was able to check in early. Got texts welcoming us before we got there. Very friendly, welcoming. Free parking. We had the loft on the 4th floor. 2 twins and king. Couch and chairs to chat for a bit. Couch a bit dated up there and needs to be changed out but beds were fabulous and sooo comfy!! Great breakfast with overnight oats, yogurt parfaits and fruit cups. Coffee was delish and I am picky. No need to go to Starbucks down the street. Downtown Portsmouth stores and restaurants are 5 min walk. Came back to a warm fireplace. The Hotel of Portsmouth is a gem and will be back Thanks so much!!!

The Hotel is as described in Expedia and the property's web site. Facilities are limited as there is no restaurant, bar, fitness room etc. but I knew this going in and it was not an issue for me. The location is excellent being only an 8 minute walk to the city center and its many shops and excellent restaurants and a huge beneift is the free parking - parking is difficult and pricey in Poprtsmouth. We had a Deluxe King room for one night - it was spacious and bightly lit abd the bed was really comfortable. I disagree with 1 reviewer who said the illows were hard - not so. I would definitely return.
