We booked this hostel through Expedia but when we got there they said we had no reservation and did not get any money from Expedia. All places were already booked in town because of a special event. This was a very poor situation. We have not heard back from Expedia about our situation yet. One hotel staff said he would help us resolve the situation but never got back to us but the front desk lady was excellent and helped us find another place.

Awesome Hostel- shame about the bathroom
Great place to stay. Reasonable breakfast of buns, cornflakes and yogurt. Air conditioning is wonderful. Close to the city. Most of the reception staff speak good English. Half day bodega tour good. Only negative thing about hostel is the the bathroom configuration and how tiny the shower is as it is pushed right up against the toilet.

The shower is in the toilet
The shower was literally on top of the toilet. So every time I had a shower the toilet was soaking wet. Stupid!!!!

This place is okay
This hostel is comfortable enough and central to restaurants and parks in a walkable city. Staff is excellent and breakfast adequate.

Terrible, unmaintained and some rude staff
Firstly the staff member behind reception said he could not find our booking, so asked us to email him the booking whilst he attended to his more important matter of texting. After a few minutes, once prompted, he managed to put his phone down for a couple of minutes and check the email account... He then informed us that the double room we booked was no longer avilable, without any form of apology. At 10pm after a full day on the bus, we just wanted to sleep , so compromised to have a twin room the first night and switch the next day. The 'twin' was a tiny bunk bed not fit for a child and the bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in years, mildew and mould everywhere. Breakfast was basic, small stale rolls and peach jam. The second night the double room was no better, we were on the ground floor and the window didn't close. The pictures must be from years ago when it was first built as they are completely inaccurate. The proudly advertise winning an award in 2012, its obvious why they haven't won anything in the past 3 years. As a backpacker I'm used to staying at hostels, but would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

They offered secure luggage storage, was helpful in suggestions for activities when the border to Chile was closed for multiple days.
