Things went wrong here from the outset. Check-in should take a couple of minutes; it took at least 45 minutes. First they couldn't find the reservation, though I had a reservation number and confirmation from Expedia. That took 20 minutes and the manager had to be brought in. Then they checked me into a room and when I went up to it, the room was occupied. This is a big hotel and hauling the luggage down long corridors was all left to me, even after this mistake on the part of the management. No one from the hotel offered to help with the luggage. To compensate for these mishaps, they gave me a much bigger room--except that it overlooked a place where there was construction, and I was woken up at 7 am by the rumbling sound of construction machinery. Then the room wasn't cleaned, though I had explicitly asked if room were cleaned every night and I was told, "absolutely, yes." Of course I complained and the next day the manager sat down with me and assured me that they would give me a complimentary stay the next time I should come!! Some consolation--or rather none, since the manager had said he would take down my email, etc., and of course they didn't bother to do so when I checked out. A very disappointing hotel, to say the least.
