The property was perfect for my needs...in late in the day and out early the next. For a bed to sleep in, it was great. The property itself has seen better days....it is well kept so it's not a current ownership issue, I think it's more just an over time use issue. The room I got had a bit of a mildew smell that somewhat went away after running the A/C for a while. It stuck around as I noticed some mild allergy issues crop up. Not enough to change rooms, but it was there. Staff was super friendly and helpful and I'm sure they would have changed my room had I asked. The building construction seemed different than most other hotels. I was able to hear distinct footsteps from the room above, which is usually not the case. It almost sounded like a wood framed building. That was an off/on annoyance overnight. The bed was comfortable and slept well. The other furniture in the room was past prime, but served its purpose. The other clientele were interesting. There seemed to be a fair share of truckers passing through and the property seems to be VERY pet friendly. I saw a lot of people with small dogs and could hear yapping from behind other room doors. Wasn't a direct issue, but I could see that presenting an issue with the rooms. Overall a 3/5. I would probably choose a different property if I ever had need to stay in the same area again, but I'm not going to give an overall bad review.

Our first room smelled like mildew and mold. Our 2nd room wasn’t clean and smelled too but not as bad. There was toothpaste in the sink. The entire hotel was not very clean. The pool was closed. Disappointing.

Check in was easy. They document the car you're driving just in case something happens or you just leave the door open....Lolly was sooooo knowledgeable about the nearby attractions that I added an additional day to check them out! Everyone at the front desk greeted me with a smile, even on my 2am snack run. They act like they want you here. The breakfast was a little sad but not a big deal. Will likely return on my next trip to East TX if there is availability. Also the location is so perfect. Across the street from a Walmart super center and Lowes. A block away from QT, chik fil a, chicken express, nail shop. 10 miles from Tyler State Park and the Rose gardens.

Breakfast was off brand cereals, yogurt, breads, etc. Nothing warm. Will stay here again but purchase breakfast from Mcdonald's or Cracker Barrel around the corner. Also noisy after 10 pm.

Luckily enough, we are serving continental breakfast. Our cereals are actually Brand name cereals and all other items are part of the continental breakfast. If you had reported any noise complaints to the front desk, we would have been happy to take care of the issue right away. Again sorry for the inconveniences you had.
