Perfect hotel for a night at the border

Pros: The location and the attentive staff
Cons: Keeping the hotel updated so it doesn't get rundown. We use to stay at the Hampton but do to lack of updating, it is not worth the price.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. It is a great place to stop for the night before crossing the Mexican border in the morning.
This is our second consecutive year that we have stayed at this location. The staff is wonderful, the breakfast buffet is great and the location is perfect. This hotel is aging and starting to show it. Although it seemed clean, the tiles and calking in the bathroom are beginning to look dingy and a few of the tiles were cracked. There seemed to be some smudges on the walls and on the toilet tank cover. Attached to the bed cover were some long strands of hair. I removed the cover for the night.

Baseball tournament stay

I went to Laredo because my sons team was playing baseball. I arrived late at night before games began the next morning. The first appearance of the hotel was good. Once I was taking a shower I didn’t feel like the bathroom was super clean. There was hair on the floor probably from mop water and when inspecting the floor it wasn’t pristine and the sheets were inside out. The next evening I came in late from the game and my room hadn’t been cleaned. When I had left that afternoon the cleaning staff was outside my room and I let them know I was leaving and they could clean. I asked the hotel desk if I should except my room to be cleaned daily and they said it should have and it was that day and it was much more clean. The breakfasts were great, location was good and front desk staf was nice.
