Black Bear is a very spacious, open lodge with plenty of areas to spread out while still remaining close to those you love. It offers an upstairs master bedroom with a full size bed. Just down the stairs, a full kitchen is ready to accommodate you throughout your stay. Walk through the threshold and you will see a large dinning room area perfect for hosting a magnificent meal, meeting, or game night full of laughter and memories. Passing into the next room you will come upon a beautiful family room with high ceiling, gas stove, and a foosball table- perfect for relaxing and spending some quality time together. Down the hall you'll find the cozy little bunk room equipped with 3 bunks capable of sleeping 6. Across the hall from the bunkroom is one of the three available full baths, Returning back down the hall you encounter the spiral staircase leading to the loft that provides a great view of the groups activities below. This loft has 7 single twin beds providing a communal sleeping space great for late night chatter and bonding.

********notice our resident property manager does live in the attached apartment, he will be rarely noticed but is readily able to help with any need you may encounter during your stay******

******Notice pool is open seasonally for reservation only, due to life guard requirements. Our pool will close the first week of August.

Summer stay
The cabin was clean however the craftsmanship and functionality of the plumbing and interior floor and trim need attention. The pool availability and cost were not communicated well. $150 for 3 hours is a lot of money for 1 family to pay. Understand that it costs more than that to run the pool but the cost and schedule were not communicated.

Keeping our dreams alive
Stayed here for a bachelorette weekend; the bride's only goal was to go swimming with her friends. Last minute, the lifeguard was unable to be available and we were going to miss out on a chance to go swimming. The property manager worked with us to find other options, and in the meantime was able to find another lifeguard. She came to the house to inform us that we would be able to swim and was personally very easy to work with. Great experience, great space.

Perfect Bachelorette Weekend
We would have been content staying at the cabin, that’s how cozy it is. If you stay here, make sure your car is able to handle gravel in steep inclines. We weren’t too far away from hiking trails in hocking hills, and loved how secluded we felt from the rest of the park visitors. Would definitely stay again!!
