Beautiful Mauna Kea Condo at Kumulani with Dual Resort Access

Located at the exclusive Mauna Kea Resort, Kumulani I2 is a spacious two bedroom ground-floor condo with beautiful ocean views. Located in the Hapuna Uplands, I2 is an excellent choice for visitors who want close access to the best beaches and hotel facilities on the Big Island. This superb condo has an open living room and kitchen area surrounded by windows and glass sliding doors - creating a bright and airy vacation space. The living room has a flat screen TV and wall length glass sliding doors. Outside, a spacious lanai offers room to BBQ and enjoy sunset dinners with unobstructed views of the golf fairways, the ocean and the island of Maui in the distance. The master bedroom has ocean views, a king bed, a TV and a large en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds (that can be converted into a king bed upon request at time of booking) and a full bathroom with a shower. All guests have garage access. Other amenities include fast wireless internet, central air conditioning, ceiling fans in all rooms for natural ventilation, and a sofa-sleeper in the living room that can sleep one adult or two small children.

Guests of Kumulani at Mauna Kea I2 may purchase resort access to use the Mauna Kea Resort Club facilities during your stay for $120/day in 2024 (2025 rates have yet TBD & are subject to change) + tax, per RESERVATION (not per person). Purchase of this membership includes the following privileges at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel facilities: Charging privileges at both hotels for dining and activities, access to hotel beaches and pools, use of towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, reduced golf rates, tennis (court fees apply), use of two fitness centers (yoga and group classes available for a fee), and an access card for preferred parking at the hotel.

Please note: The Kumulani Association will be doing exterior painting on the communal Recreation Center between 5/06/24 to 5/25/24. The Recreation Center will be closed completely from 5/20/24 to 5/25/24 to allow for proper prepping of the floors along with the curing process. Dates are subject to change based on weather.

Starting April 2024, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will be undergoing a major renovation. The hotel is not planned to be closed entirely - instead the renovation will occur in sections which may, at times, cause interruptions to golf, tennis and hotel services. Please contact the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel- (808) 882-7222 - for more specific information about access during your travel dates. The renovation will be ongoing from April 2024 until the summer of 2025. The Westin Hapuna Hotel will *not* be impacted by the renovation and will be open as normal.

Mauna Kea Stay at Kumulani
This is our 4th visit to this condo. Needless to say we love everything about it. We watch the various birds come onto the lawn in the morning as we enjoy breakfast on the patio. We love the access to Mauna Kea amenities - the beach is our favorite hangout. The check-in process is quick and seamless. South Kohala Management team makes everything so easy - they are so responsive. We love this place and will stay again in the near future.

Great location, and beautiful sunsets
We are a family of 3 and had plenty of space to stretch out. We loved the beautiful sunset skies each night. We also loved the access to hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches and the facilities at the resorts. There was also a rec Center with a pool close to the condo but we never used it, but it was nice to have just in case. The condo was well equipped with pool towels and everything else you’d need to make dinner etc. Check in was easy and the management company helpful and organized. I’d stay there again!!

Still a great stay
We have been staying in this specific unit for years, even under a previous owner. It is well located, with exceptional views. And you cannot beat the location and ability to use the amenities at the Westin Hapuna and Mauna Kea. South Kohala is an excellent management team - very easy to work with. The unit is starting to show some wear. There is clearly water damage on the cabinets around the sink where the cabinets are peeling and warping, missing knob on a drawer, things like this. The curtains have a few strange stains on them that almost look like someone had a bleeding finger or killed a giant mosquito. It's the little things like that. The couch could use an upgrade. But the unit is very clean and well stocked. And I love having the garage. Oh and great electronics and wifi that work!
