Seasonal/Family activities at The Lodge at 46 Degrees North

Our lovely home features rustic décor, with all the amenities you could desire. You are just 90 minutes from the Twin Cities. The house is wired with high-speed internet for remote working! There is a well-stocked gourmet kitchen with double wall ovens, an induction stove, a microwave, a wine cooler, and an island with bar stools. Open to the dining room and a cozy seating area, with a spectacular stone, wood-burning fireplace (we do not provide wood). There is plenty of room for enjoying family and friends.

Off the kitchen, there is a large deck and a separate three-season porch, perched high with amazing views and stunning sunsets of Isle Bay on Lake Mille Lacs. You have full access to the lake through Castles Resort across the street, where you can fish off the dock, launch a boat, enjoy boat rentals, or just jump on a launch.

The first floor also features an ensuite bedroom with a king-sized bed, jetted tub, and steam shower. Perfect for relaxing on the chilly Isle evenings. There is a large living space for big gatherings, with DirecTV (full channel lineup, smart televisions for your own streaming service).

There are two more bedrooms on the second floor and a full shared bath with a tub and separate shower. The lower level of this home features an additional family gathering space with a television, ping-pong table and futon. There are two more bedrooms, one with a king bed, and the other with bunk beds. These have a full shared bath on that level.

In addition to the amenities at the Castles Resort, you are just across the street from Isle City Park where there is a playground and a sandy beach. You are also just a short walk (less than ½ mile) or drive away from Father Hennepin State Park where there is a large sandy beach, trails for hiking or in the winter cross country skiing or snowshoeing!

Come for an extra-long weekend (three-day minimum), a week, or enjoy a long-term stay (receive a discounted rate for two weeks or more).

This property is just absolutely amazing! This was our 2nd time renting and we fell in love with it all over again. We will be back again. We have now made this into a family tradition. You will not be disappointed! Everything was very clean and in order. The Property Managers were also great any questions we had they were answered promptly. We felt very welcomed.

Beautiful home with plenty of space
David and Nancy were great hosts. They were very responsive and accommodating to my large group. The home on Mille Lacs was beautiful and offered plenty of amenities for my group of all ages from 1 years-old to 18+.

Lovely place
Excellent stay! The home was beautiful and in a good location (literally across the street from the lake!) Check in was easy (self check in) and the house was big enough to accommodate our large group. Only thing I will note is that some of the bunk beds may not be large enough for adults (more for little ones) so do bring air mattresses in case and I wish the check out time was a little bit later. Overall, great stay!

A Wonderful Weekend
We had a great time. We had multiple families and three generations. I think the Grandpas and Grandmas had more fun than the grandkids. We went to the State Park for a picnic and swim. We rinsed the kids off after they got out of the water and did not have any itch problems. We rented a pontoon form the resort across the street and explored the lake. We cooked on the deck, had fires and watched football. The home is prefect for a multi-family stay. It is equipped very well with top notch appliances and cookware. The beds are new and comfortable. We highly recommend this vacation home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was clean. The kitchen was really well designed and fun to cook in. Sadly, there was swimmers itch at the lake so we were unable to go in the water but overall it was a great home. The basketball hoop was a nice extra for the kids as well.

Beautiful Home
The property is very spacious and beautiful. Lots of dishes, cookware & essentials in the kitchen which was nice. A great layout for cooking for a group! Plenty of games to play & books too. We loved the screened in porch! The children played at the park across the street. You need to walk across the street to the public access to the beach which was very littered with dog droppings & weeds. We cleaned that up & the kids had a great time in the water. Several hours later, we discovered they had severe cases of chiggers all over their bodies, so no more swimming!

Best Lodge for large family
The lodge was everything we read about it. It was clean and had a very nice kitchen with almost anything you would need. Plenty of room for our large family to enjoy being together. Nice basketball court on side of the garage was a big hit and having the park across the street was great. I would recommend this property to anyone with large family.

Fun Filled Family Vacation
Great property with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 3 families. From Grandparents to grandchildren. Parks nearby, bakery, grocery store within walking distance. A day at Paul Bunyan Land (45 min drive) was perfect for our 1-7 yr. old children. Parents/Grandparents enjoyed it as well. Nearby golf courses. Ping Pong table was a big hit for the family tournament. Weather was overcast so beach/swimming was minimal, but we found plenty to do and walks to take. Isle MN is a very cute little town.
