Great Location, but Accommodation Needs Updating.
A quaint little place to stay & the location is absolutely perfect, so long as you don't mind 100 people next door at the cafe, waiting to board the Dolphin Tour Boats, which finishes at 2.30pm, and then it's quiet.
The accommodation was a lot better ten years ago when privately owned by Brian & Leone, but it is now a bit run-down.
It was comfortable enough, but in need of an upgrade. There is no room to put luggage & there was very little room to put your clothes (half a small wardrobe and 2 shelves).
There was evidence of mice in the kitchen. Of an evening, there were quite a few creepy-crawlies that came in under the door.
There's also a very noisy possum who lives in the tree, and he likes to run across the roof at night.
The outdoor deck needs maintenance work, we got quite a few splinters. The outdoor shade-umbrella was broken, so we purchased some tools and repaired it as best we could. Also, the umbrella base doesn't hold the umbrella properly and it will lift out in a slight breeze.
We didn't use the BBQ because is it very old, dirty and rusty. It would also be useless in the rain because it's not under cover.
Communication with Real Estate Agency is okay, but don't expect immediate replies, as they're quite often "in a meeting". We received no reply to my text & photos when we left.
Whilst we LOVED the location, not sure if we'll stay there again unless it's upgraded, as it's quite expensive for what you get.
Thanks.
