Hospitality at its best
A charming hotel at a great location. The service was excellent and all staff were well trained to ensure every encounter was pleasant and personal. The hotel has a rich heritage but did not show its age, with guest room kept at good condition.

We were recommended to stay at The Tasman in Hobart, and I’m glad we did. The service, the breakfast and the ambience of the hotel is exceptional. It’s quite new and modern, and we had a nice view of the harbour. Also it’s walking distance to the city centre and Salamanca.

The Tasman, was wonderful in every aspect. The sandstone building the pure essence of Hobart. The decor and amenities were elegant and of high quality, but the thing that stood out the most were the staff , they provided fir your every need with excellent service. The only one thing i could suggest and that is a personal choice would be, to look at getting "Ultra plush"comfort beds.

Each morning, its breakfast delights with locally sourced goods, a feast for the senses that sets the tone for the day. The staff, a pillar of this establishment, greet guests with genuine warmth, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. While our stay was nearly flawless, one minor hiccup occurred when our room remained unserviced until later in the day on one occasion. However, this small issue pales in comparison to the overall experience. Located at the heart of Hobart city, the Tasman offers easy access to the waterfront, Salamanca markets, and world-class dining establishments like Pigeon Hole Bakery and Tom Mchugo's. To further enhance our stay, our request for a bathtub was graciously fulfilled, adding an extra layer of luxury to our experience. In summary, the Tasman hotel delivers an exceptional stay, with superb breakfasts, outstanding staff, and a central location that makes exploring Hobart a breeze. It's a sanctuary of comfort and convenience that ensures a memorable visit to this charming city.
