Vintage Hawaiian charm and hospitality. Some renovation work taking place in the Lagoon Tower which had no impact on our stay. I hope they don’t price out the budget travelers by going upscale. Our room was clean, comfortable. Partial ocean view was much better than expected. The view and dining experience at Don the Beachcombers was superb. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. I’ve stayed here before and return for the value and Hawaiian ambience sadly missing from some of the other resorts in the area.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It was worth the upgrade to an oceanfront room and we got to see dolphins out in the bay from our balcony.

The staff is really helpful specifically Wendy the Assistant manager. But I felt like the property needs maintenance because the elevator to the room was pretty scary and would take a lot of time to reach. In the room the TV and mirror were dirty and was not been cleaned for all 3 days of my stay. The bedroom sliding door of window was jammed and it had a lot of rust. Sheets were not been replaced, it was the same for 3 days. Restaurant didn't had much vegan vegetarian options. Other than that it was a good experience.

What I like the most was when we arrived to the hotel our check in was at 4 the staff was able to accommodate us before the check in time THATS was great, not to mentioned the beautiful kiosk and wonderful surroundings. The local stores amd farmers market was walkable Also the trolley was convenient 10/10 great stay
