Not a bad place to stay, nice beach location. We had room issues and reported them and they never fixed the problems and never asked if the problems were taken care of. I thought the management could been better. Some of the areas inside and around the lobby looked a little beat.

First time in Key West and for the most part, I enjoyed the stay. The room they gave us wasn’t ideal in that it was a corner room that had the balcony cut off by the two adjacent rooms. Half of the balcony was facing the balcony of the room next to us so it was almost as if we were watching our neighbors if we sat out there. The other half was a “peep show” view of the resort because the other room on the opposite side obstructed that view. No, it was not in the room description that I booked. It only said “resort view”. For the rest of the resort, I expected it to be what it was, a sleepy resort-town, vacation resort. Not necessarily updated but comfortable. The restaurant had good food, and it was nice and quaint and quiet. Unfortunately, we came when they were doing construction during the day so it was a bit loud right outside our room a couple mornings but we weren’t in the room that much during the day. Overall, decent stay.

Good beach and outdoor facilties. Romm was nice size. However the room a/c was a nuisance. It came on and off every 5minutes for about 2minutes and sounded like a jet engine. Also only one elevator worked. So we took that and had to walk around the entire resort to get to our room or take a stairway 4 floors.

The hotel was average and definitely not in line with the top dollar that we paid to stay there. The elevator has been broken for months with no fix in site. While there is another elevator, it is on the other side of the property, so climbing steps and navigating luggage through the maze of rooms is a must. The ashtray was clogged with old cigar stubs the entire time we were there--never emptied. The soap dispenser in our shower was empty and the note to housekeeping went unnoticed and was never refilled. Our view from our 4th floor room was of the maintenance area, so not very attractive, but I get that...you have to pay more for a room with a view. On a positive note, the food at the restaurant was excellent. The service was excellent. Using the Casa Marina pool was great. The Casa Marina is an amazing property and it's a nice advantage to being able to take advantage of their facilities as it's a sister property to The Reach. Overall, a great time was had by all.
