Two pleasant weeks in the “Blue House”.
We enjoyed our fifteen nights in Enkirch at this property very much. This four story house (plus cellar) is very spacious, giving the four of us the ability to be together or separate as we wished. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge area large, and the bedrooms as private as one wishes. As the house is older it is more rustic than modern, but still quite comfortable. The parking space was rather challenging to get in and out of with our medium sized car.
Enkirch itself is more a working wine village than a touristy town like Traben or Bernkastel, but still has a large number of historic buildings which make wandering the narrow streets pleasantly worthwhile. The locals were quite friendly and helpful, though often their ability to converse in English was less than in other parts of Germany that we have been in.
We were pleased with this property, and would recommend it to others.
