Edinburgh Excellence

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, helpful staff, generous snacks in room
The Hotel Indigo in Edinburgh, Scotland exceeded our expectations and gets highest marks for cleanliness, comfort, and helpfulness of staff. The hotel's Turquoise Thistle restaurant has an excellent chef with a varied menu and reasonable prices. Although the hotel faces a street torn up for tram construction, the rooms are quiet. The staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. As attendees at the International Festival, we were close to the Edinburgh Playhouse for two of our events. Transportation from the hotel is right outside the door for venues further away.
