Excellent staff

Pros: friendly and helpful staff
We just stayed one night on our way to Boquete. The staff was great. Very helpful. The restaurant was OK but there are other options within walking distance.

Most incredibly chic hotel in David/Chiriqui Province

After visiting Panama for 40 years and David especially a new hotel has opened that is upscale and very chic. My husband, grandson, and I spent a week at the Hotel Ciudad de Da vid and could not have had a better experience. From the moment you step inside the lobby, complete with a doorman, the staff is welcoming and most accomodating, plus all the staff I met spoke English. The rooms are roomy and exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds/pillows and amenities are plentiful. The shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure (something often missing in other hotels). Since the climate in Panama is very humid I certainly enjoyed the air-conditioned comfort of this hotel; quiet units in each room without the musty odor I have experienced in other area hotels. A complete breakfast buffet is included with fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, meats, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, and the most delicious fresh squeezed juices. We ate several lunch/dinner meals and the menu is varied and includes regional dishes and more traditional fare. My most favorite dish was the shrimp ceviche and the chef shared the recipe!! We were also impressed with the parking garage, which kept our car cool and more secure. There is a gym (I didn't use), spa, which was underwhelming, and very nice outdoor pool on the third floor where you feel away from the city noises. Overall, our experience was just perfect in a hotel that is new, modern, clean, and affordable.
