Beach Adventure Recharge
Wonderful rural, peaceful waterfront property to launch retirement with my husband and pup! Pristine house and grounds. Every little kitchen amenity you need to cook or bake, complete with coffee bar. Please note - Food storage space is limited for longer stay (we stayed 9 days) so use your big cooler. We grilled and ate in all week. You’ll also love the fun retro vibe. So fun! Clean laundry room with deep sink, potty and sport equipment storage was super handy. The grounds were private on two sides. Nothing but water, birds, ducks, fish jumping, deer, horses, tall pines and sky - pretty spectacular! We enjoyed the kayak, pedal boat, fire pit and fishing poles. I especially loved the choices of tree swings and gliders (on deck). Also appreciated little gate at the top of the deck stairs to keep our Cody safely contained. One impo tip if coming by 4X4 (vs boat) on beach. Check tide schedule. It’s a 30 min drive. You MUST air down to about 18 lbs. Then key tip - turn left off beach when you see the tall fire rescue communication tower (set back a bit) and in front of it a private extensive white walkway/stairway on dune near the beach turn off corner. Turn left there! We missed it the first time and went way off the beaten path after driving 7 hours - not fun! Sherry quickly came to phone rescue 😊 She’s a great communicator. We booked our 2025 spring trip before we left today! Worth the 14 hour drive from CT to have such natural serenity.

lovely on a canal but difficult to get in.
Property was nice with kayaks and paddle boat but second person with the dogs we paid extra for could not get in due to depth of water on the dune roads. We were not offered a refund on the extra fees for the dogs or the insurance for them We felt if we left the property, we might not get back in so we were stuck there. Enjoyed the games and amenities

A Magical Stay on Carova Beach
My husband and I stayed for 3 days at the Carova Beach Canal Front property. It was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals there. We kayaked on the canals, played bean bag toss, and drove the beach and the town every day to see the wild horses. We saw lots of horses, and one of them was grazing right next to the house one day. We had never driven on a beach before, and that was an adventure!

Peaceful paradise
This was our second time at Sherry & Jeff cottage! We love being there, the cleaning and well stocked place it is a bonus! Lots of amenities that make you feel like in your own home. We are planning to return next year. Thank you both for having us!

Perfect Christmas
We planned a small visit of the Christmas holiday and were thrilled by the location, amenities, and overall stay. We have stayed in the same area about 4 times, but this one was the most pleasant of all of them. We absolutely loved sitting by the fire, watching ducks on the canal while listening to the surf just over the dunes. Did I say perfect location? Even the horses agreed as they spent a great deal of time on the property. Host was more than friendly and wonderfully accommodating. Thank you for making our Christmas!!

Excellent stay
This was our third visit, and we enjoy coming here so much we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when in the OBX area. Our hosts go the extra mile to make each stay memorable. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and is exceptionally well maintained. An added bonus is the gorgeous sunsets!

Piece of heaven on the 4X4
Amazing place, the horses were around or on the property nearly every day! Lots of other wildlife as well. This cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay, all of the comforts of home! Sherry and Jeff are great hosts, we came in during a tropical storm and they were super flexible, allowing us in early for low tide. Each trip to and from the house is an adventure! Lots to do both on and off the property. Spotless clean and comfortable and just enough space for the 4 of us. Off the beaten path but so worth it!! We will return! There is nothing like Carova. Thank you for the personal touch with the anniversary wine. This was an incredible opportunity to make amazing memories!
