Surrounded by towering cedars, our spacious, dog-friendly A-frame cabin is situated on the high bank of the Skagit river. Watch from the balcony as the river runs, bald eagles fish, and snowcapped Mt. Baker peaks above the tree line. Spend days hiking in North Cascades National Park, floating on Lake Shannon and Baker Lake, or fly fishing the Skagit. Spend evenings playing games or watching movies with friends and family cozied up by the fire. Working remote? Enjoy the ultrafast gigabit network.
The entire property and cabin are dog-friendly (please send pictures!). The living area has windows that span three stories and two large sliding doors that open up to a balcony overlooking the Skagit river and Mount Baker. The living room also has a large dining table, fireplace, leather couch, and 55-inch 4K TV (with a Fire Stick). The cabin has three bedrooms (one king and two queens) and two full bathrooms. There are additional balconies off of each bedroom. The primary suite is on the second floor and has a private bathroom, walk-in closet, and desk. There is a fully equipped kitchen, washer, and dryer for guests to use. The entire cabin has central heat and air, so guests feel comfortable in every season. There is ultrafast gigabit internet provided via a mesh network throughout the cabin and outdoor spaces. The front and back yard are sizable and the property is fenced in on three sides with the river framing the fourth. There's plenty of parking to accommodate fun group trips!
The North Cascades National Park is 30 mins to the east of the cabin, with Lake Diablo about 20 more mins further into the national park. Lake Shannon and Baker Lake both offer majestic views of Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan, as well as access to the Baker Hot Springs. The Skagit river is known for its fly fishing and salmon runs, accessible via a 5-10 min minute walk from the cabin. The town of Concrete is also five minutes away with access to restaurants, a bakery, a movie theatre, and an ice cream shop. The cabin is five minutes from a Red Apple grocery store where guests can pick up any essentials. There are guidebooks in the cabin if guests want to find a beautiful day hikes to tackle. There are many bald eagles in the area, and you're likely to see them from the cabin or while you're out hiking.
We have blocked off the walk-out basement and the upper loft for the season. We plan to finish these spaces and open them up to guests next year.
Please let us know if you have any feedback on where and how we can improve the space or make stays even better!
While the listing is dog-friendly, we cannot accept cats due to allergies.
