The lady in the desk was nice but honestly I have never stayed in somewhere so dirty or run down. Stains on carpet, carpet worn into holes, bed uncomfortable, we didn’t even shower as it was so dirty. We left after first night. We did get the last room so maybe it was waiting to be upgraded. Hate leaving bad reviews but owe to folks to be honest.

I did not stay at this property after seeing it. There was no manager on site to tell I was not staying. I went by a 2nd time to look for a manager but did not even see where there is an office. The property is a dump!!

Never staying here again
The young lady at check in was very friendly. The lobby and majority of the building smelled like pot. We do not begrudge people from smoking pot, we don't smoke it and dont want to smell it all the timd. There was at least 3 inches of caulking around the base of the toilet. The walls are super thin. You can hear people in the next room having a casual conversation. At midnight we were woken up to a drunken party. Never staying there again.

False advertising. The pictures must be from when the place opened in 1950. Shower was nasty. One room had broken glass in the bathroom. Doors did not latch properly. Facade is dilapidated. We left and found a far better place on the north side of the island. Did not even waste our time to get the money back for the 2 rooms. All 4 of us agreed the place is awdul!! Nasty!!

The property is in need of a major renovation. While it was reasonably clean the tub and shower need to be replaced. They are old and scarred by time. It's a very convenient location, but it's not worth $100 a night.
