"The house was everything we’d hoped for! Well air conditioned and comfortable for our family of 7. Having our own pool and everything with in close driving distance was perfect! Highly recommend! Pool toys are available, some floats and floaties too. Loved having the kayaks and paddle boards. Beach chairs were great too! The beach is more muddy than sand not able to walk out without getting stuck, jelly fish present but lots of seashells to collect. Beach is a 6 minute drive with side parking right next to the area to walk down. The walking path from the house itself is not good for kids and is 15 minutes to Taylor beach. The beach is beautiful you can walk out so far crystal clear. Sapodillo beach lots of sales people wanting to sell you chairs to sit and they take up almost the whole beach and give you very little spots to bring your own chairs.Drinks are a rip off fake alcohol. Grocery store is 15 mins make sure to be cautious of side streets maps will want to take you on.Lots of side roads are super rocky and muddy. Stay on the main roads. Nicer restaurants on north side of the island, we do recommend bugaloos and Las Brisas. Bring light jackets to restaurants in case it’s windy, it gets chilly. Highly recommend Mangos, Baci, Vita, Indigo, 72 West. Highly recommend a day pass a Somerset resort, the and have showers if you have time to kill before your flight home. The bar/pool side restaurant was amazing and the view too! Arrive to the airport 2 hours early is plenty"

"Our stay was fantastic. It’s hard to see neighbors to left and right of the VRBO, which makes it feel private. Landscaping is typical of area with lots of crumbly rock. Room is spacious with dramatic vaulted ceilings. Stone tiles all around are practical and pleasing. Kitchenette was useable. Bathroom very clean and nice. Decor was sparse but we like that. Towels were good. Sheets were soft. Bed was lovely though mattress was too firm for us and we prefer a king size. No outlets near nightstands for our CPAP or phones so we temporarily moved furniture around. WiFi fine. We did not use tv. Hot water and water pressure only had to wait a few times to kick in. Pool is so pretty and clean with floaties ready. Covered pool bar and dining are nice. Dock deck is great for morning coffee and launching their kayaks. View from our balcony over the incredibly turquoise water of Chalk Sound and its many islands is truly stunning, but the deck chairs are too low to see over the balcony. Grill seemed handy but we did not use it. Sweet, beautiful cat hanging around. Admin was responsive to our needs. Expedia/VRBO app was not working for us to communicate with admin, that was very frustrating - I found a work-around on the website “contact the host” so all was well in the end."
