Our Little House on Pearl welcomes you with Americana Charm and the love and care of previous generations.
Hand built in 1930 by my great granddaddy, who worked at the mill, the lumber for the house was purchased by my Nannie through her selling eggs and butter. My Nana and Mama both grew up here, making me the 4th generation to call this little place home. In 2023, I completely renovated the home to bring all the modern comforts while still honoring the historic elements that make the little house the a unique treasure it is today.
This bright and fresh cottage is within walking distance to breweries, downtown, and the river walking park. (make sure to say hello to the goats on the river walk!)
The house is filled with quality furnishings and textures for your comfort as I want you to feel at home while you stay with us. Our recent renovation kept the historic charms, including original beadboard walls and a clawfoot tub perfect for soaking at the end of a full day of sightseeing, while also updating central heat and air, and adding a front porch complete with porch swing!
Located in Canton, NC, the Little House is wonderful central location for 'all things Western North Carolina'. The space is ideal for a couple or small family planning to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, Historic Downtown Waynesville, the famed Biltmore Estate, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Chestnut Mountain Bike Park and so much more.
Handsome leather furniture takes center stage in the living room and if you must work, comes complete with a dedicated workspace and fast Wi-Fi to run your empire or simply check a few emails. After work or sight seeing relax on the couch and the Smart TV, or cuddle up with a good book in the comfy arm chair!
The little house boosts two bedrooms, both comfortable with nostalgic furnishings and comfortable textures, granting you a good nights sleep before your next adventure1 The larger of the two bedrooms has a king bed with quality linens and bedding, the second bedroom provides a full bed, outfitting to provide comfort and restful sleep. Both bedrooms are located adjacent to the hall bathroom, that is well lit and has a quality soaking tub with shower curtain surround. (perfect for bubblebaths!)
Every room in this happy and welcoming space was intentionally created with you in ind, and the kitchen and dining area is no exception. Whip up a quick breakfast before you strike out to discover more about the area or plan to prepare a feast, either way you will find the kitchen space well outfitted, functional, and beautiful. Complete with a hideaway clothes washer and dryer for your conveince.
