Miss that Steakhouse
First time back since pandemic. Top 2 restaurants closed MTW. No more free breakfast. Check-in too slow with long lines from 3-5 pm. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff are particularly courteous, professional and friendly. Overall great visit with lots to do but would love to see those restaurants reopen 7 days/wk. I understand higher prices or reduced benefits, but not both.

This was the first time I’d stayed at the Silver Reef and I wish I’d known the north tower is newer and nicer. It was fully booked by the time I checked in so I stayed in the south tower. That entire side of the hotel smells like an old dirty ashtray….the smoke from part of the casino wafts up and it’s disgusting. Also, the room was dimly lit and had a very dated bathroom, flat / old pillows on the bed, and a thin comforter. I won’t stay here again.

While the property was fine, our overall experience was far from perfect. We got checked in and we went to the casino to have drinks and play. A short time late, we were told they would be closing down early due to weather. A little bummed, but no big deal. Then we were told they were closing at 8:00pm! We had barely even gotten there! There was no acknowledgment. We were not given the opportunity to reschedule our trip. We were there for my fiancé's birthday. We had taken days off work and gotten childcare, and chose the Silver Reef instead of our usual, closer casino/hotels. We only live about an hour away. I feel we should've been given the opportunity to cancel and rebook our trip for a different day. All of the restaurants were closed, except for the Red River Cafe, where we waited forever for our food, despite there being very few people in there. They brought the wrong food, which was lukewarm at best, then we had to wait even longer for the food that we actually ordered- also warm-ish. Not exactly the nice birthday dinner I had planned for him. I understand that weather is out of anyone's control. And I appreciate, wanting to keep everyone safe. However, I feel we should have been given the opportunity to come a different time where we could enjoy the full experience. This trip was a complete waste of our time and money. We will definitely not be going back.

Convenient place to stay
Clean and good size rooms. Not very soundproof. Front desk staff were being disrespectful about guests within ear shot which was not very processional although other staff were extremely helpful and kind. Poor internet connectivity. Good place to stay to access casino and food.
