I like nothing about that hotel, well the bagboy🎒 was about the best thing there. I didn't even enter the room. The baagdoy🎒 took my bag 🎒 inside the room and left. When I looked in, I was so disappointed. Ilooked around and the guy was gone. I immediately grab my bag 🎒 head back to the lobby and check out. It was n othing liwke the photos showed. I figured I was going to be disappointed, but not to that extent. It was terrible
The staff was excellent and very down to earth my only problem was the neighborhood too many homeless people and drug addicts especially at night it looks scary as if your in a haunted house
The hotel staff they were awesome they made sure our stay were perfect They also looked out for our best interest and Gave us a lot of tips and do and don’ts.
Stayed in Barranquilla 4 nights for the Carnaval.
The mattress of the beds are ROCK HARD!! It was impossible to sleep, very uncomfortable.
The hotel is in down town, not a nice area, especially at night but taxis are super cheap.
The stuff is very nice and helpful.
I didn´t like the fact that had to knock the door to get access to the hotel at nights.
The neighborhood is not the safest, so I guess that is why they do it like that.
Do not book things they offer at the front desk. You might get the service offered and get stressed because of that.
The breakfast is poor.
I arrived to the hotel after a pleasant ride from the airport & traveling all morning. Grace and her staff did EVERYTHING possible to accommodate my safe arrival with professionalism, top-notched service & pure joy. I am an American who lazily speaks Spanish. I used a translator app on my phone to speak and understand when my Spanish was deficient. I NEVER FELT INADEQUATE BECAUSE OF THE LANGUAGE BARRIER. As the days went by the entire staff was friendly, understanding and communicative. Every question I had was answered, every need that came up was met and my 8 day stay was one of the BEST I have ever had. The Hotel is clean & pristine.
The daily coffee service was a constant treat! The daily free breakfast was filling, selective and conveniently located next to the building making me walk out every morning and be a part of the vibrant local culture I came to see. I found the citizens of Baranquilla to be civilized, hard-working and welcoming to this black-American disabled man. I walked when I could and NEVER felt threatened. The bellman JASON took the time to teach me about the taxi culture while practicing safety. He also would direct me to wherever I needed or wanted to go, sometime providing himself as a personal guide. Esperanza ALWAYS greeted me with an accommodating, welcoming smile. I even had the pleasure of meeting the night staff security on the 1st night. I wanted to go outside at 1am. He unlocked the front door and stood out there while I observed the culture.
