Decent hotel near the airport

We only had 18 hours in Bangkok between flights and this hotel fit the bill. If that's your situation I'd say to check this hotel out. If you have more time, maybe stay closer to downtown. Pros: near BKK airport. Generally clean and affordable. Good looking pool. The airport shuttle was cheaper than uber and was on time for both pickup and drop off and there was always an English speaking staff member available. Cons: Had to pay for the airport pickup right when we got to the hotel which seemed a little odd. When we got to the room bunch of stuff had to be fixed. 4 lightbulbs didn't work, the air conditioner needed a tweak, and the wifi wasn't working. The hotel was happy to fix the light bulbs and air conditioning right away. The only reason this was a bummer was that it delayed us getting off to dinner. The wifi didn't start working in our room until pretty late at night, not sure if it was a router issue or another guest using a lot of the capacity. The hot water in the shower never got super hot.
